He's staying in the border and shifting some nice soil, apparently bad smells put them off if he chooses a bad place..
Also I'm not a violent person but have an overwhelming desire to give the people in the KFC and primart queues a good slapping

Had the nurses/carers around earlier to see about my old man coming home the hospital. Turns out he might not be coming home at all due to his condition getting worse, and if he does actually come out then the best option is for us to have a hospital style bed put downstairs. Good timing, right after the bloody stairlift was installed and we took delivery of more kit to aid him than most hospitals have. At least that kit was free, why couldn't they have told us this before we shelled out a **** ton of money on the stairlift?

And now we get a phone call from the hospital telling us that he's contracted a UTI, most likely due to having a catheter fitted. I'm getting worried, and we can't even go to see him either as you have make an appointment and the first available slot is next Monday.

Congratulations.

It took me 3 years to sort out the experience bit. Kind of lost all motivation once all the exams were done!

Thank you :)

I have written five out of the nine now. Remaining ones are the core ones talking about professionalism and innovation which are just so... I work in practice at a firm that's been going for 90 years. Innovation is not something I deal with.

Just flipping exhausted this week. Can't believe it's only Tuesday and my back hurts, I'm oversleeping and the house is a mess. I should book some time off work.

This is awful news pal :( It sounds a lot like when my partner's grandad went. Hope you get to see him ASAP, and here's hoping he improves.

Hmm, an interesting article on Asian cancel-culture:

https://www.berghahnjournals.com/view/journals/contention/aop/cont090105/cont090105.xml

It looks like quite a serious business.

Or at least as curious as the new finding that loss of pleasure and anhedonia can be an early sign of dementia.

However, this article read some days ago, Trolls Just Want to Have Fun, was an amusing read. Eg. "...Cybertrolling is an Internet manifestation of everyday sadism."

Finally finished my ACCA qualification. Now just got to fill out a sodding experience record. :o
Whoop whoop! Congrats!

Aww no, sorry to hear that :( I know my dad always had issues with his catheter. Fingers crossed they get it treated quickly

I can confirm that doing a treadmill walk "stress test" in a cardiologists office is not pleasant when you have rheumatoid arthritis in both knees.

Or, having your heart-rate go up to 144bpm as you do so, when your resting (awake) heart rate is 30bpm.

came back home and heard bzzzzz bzzzzzz in the kitchen, damn huge wasp was in there...
must have crawled through the open airvent of the window even though it's just a row of small slots :S
luckily it found it's way out fast when I opened the window, usually wasps are dumb as hell and just randomly fly around screaming.

Only a week without a bathroom, tiling started today and should be finished Tuesday. We decided to split the large room into two, the first half you just walk into and has a desk, then a door into the bathroom.
Sound a bit wierd but after the stud wall was up and plastered it works.

Thanks. Had some bad news today. We got off the phone with the Parkinson's nurse and they're 99% certain that he won't be coming out due to him requiring 24hr round the clock care. So they're going to do an assessment and if he does have to stay in they'll see about moving him into somewhere a bit closer to us. Only good bit of news is Stannah said that if he does have to go into a care home then they'd buy the stairlift we had fitted the other day back off us, it's completely unused but no doubt we'll be losing a bit of money.

Bought some pink lemonade doughnuts on a whim thinking they'd be nice, I cannot stand them. One bite and my eyes started watering. They are foul IMO.
