Yeah I wouldn't. :p

If you do a poll I think 0 - 10K is a bit too broad as well.

You might be surprised how many people are in the £0 - £500 category. Or £500 - £2000, £2000 - £5000, etc.

I also don't think this forum is a great representation, and people lie as well.

Mm very true! Especially after the year we have had! And yes...I feel like a computer forum would indeed get different results to perhaps to a Leeds Utd forum for example. :p

I have about 5K which I maintain in case of emergency, and about 6K in assets. I hope this helps. :p

Being unemployed for over a year (back in work for 8 weeks now!) didn't help much!

Congrats on the job! Can relate there...struggled to get work through all of lockdown but finally got a role in November. Then perm somewhere else 3 weeks ago.

I am at home so no rent..helping a lot but miss London a bit. Around 10k but can't access 2.8k - Help to Buy.

Kid #2 thesis time. Stress to-go.

Which means its burgers for dinner tonight (comfort food).

I've never really bothered looking at the items in my Steam inventory, but the other day I had a look through and thought I'd put a couple of Team Fortress 2 items on the market place, which I had never used before. I last played that in 2011 lol.

They just sold for a total of £40

Now, do I want to part with my Max's Severed Head (which is basically a bunny ears hat), which is currently priced at £58! crazy....

God dammit. I just went to buy some garden furniture from Ikea. It showed as available online, so i went to a site i use for discount vouchers and bought them. Went back to Ikea, got right through to delivery only to be told delivery isn't available to my post code.

I'm now stuck with £1000 of Ikea vouchers and can't just go somewhere else as i can't return the vouchers.

Son of a ***** that's annoying!

IKEA's online delivery system has a mind of its own. We did an order a few months ago and had it split into 2 with both parts being 8-10 weeks away. Added one £3 fake plant and both dates jumped forward to only 2-3 weeks

Best fake plant we've ever bought :p

After years of drain blockages, multiple failed attempts by dynorod and thames water I point out to the guy whose ‘showing me the system’ that it still isn’t unblocked and that they are unblocking the wrong pipe. Cue a lightbulb moment where the cover that I was originally told by dynorod ‘went nowhere’ is in fact the rod entry point that subsequently unblocked the whole system. Fair play to the Thames water guy in the end, he fixed it and has given a quick future resolution. He even left his unblocking rod, absolute star. I think he could tell my dismay when he tried to send me back to dynorod for a third time. For people who have one job, they are pretty useless at it. I mean, the dynorod guy years ago was actually trying to unblock an old collapsed pipe

I'm eating some Fruit Short cakes morrisons own brand.
I notice a hair on one of the biscuits and realise it can't be mine.

on further inspection I see 3 small hairs all coming from a small black dot on the biscuit.
I'm convinced it must be a dead and baked spider, I'll carry on eating the pack but kinda put off by them now :S

On reading the Reality hits home thread I'm left with a wistful feeling. I've a 78% chance of not surviving 3 more years (heart factor), and doubt I will outlive the date on my next upcoming due new drivers licence either.

Such is life. Amusing, full, always interesting, never ordinary.

Got a mole in the garden, been a vegan (have I told you this? ) I did the only decent thing, gave him a name, Gimli, little bugger has some energy, but I see this as a positive thing, collecting his alarmingly big piles of soil to reuse in a pot. when my lawn collapses I will update

Love moles. Used to have loads in the garden where I grew up. Cats used to like them too.

Tbh was wondering how cats react, I carefully cleared the molehill earlier, feel honoured to be invaded by them
Or him/her

Star child, up.
The pestilences of the lower air
Pass like fogs - none prevail
Ex eos ai, unsundered.

The agency workers all min wage( edit, was one until last autumn) seem to have 25k to 60k cars, some talk about their horses, the employment situation down here is pretty weird, lots and lots of crappy jobs less good ones, I know some are just board of early retirement, I wouldn't be

Had the nurses/carers around earlier to see about my old man coming home the hospital. Turns out he might not be coming home at all due to his condition getting worse, and if he does actually come out then the best option is for us to have a hospital style bed put downstairs. Good timing, right after the bloody stairlift was installed and we took delivery of more kit to aid him than most hospitals have. At least that kit was free, why couldn't they have told us this before we shelled out a **** ton of money on the stairlift?
