Wow thats verrrryyy cheap.Well, I'm not quite an owner yet, but put in a an order for the Sapphire Radeon RX 6900 XT NITRO+. It's supposed to arrive the 3rd of February. So let's hope so.
With my store discount I got the card for (converted) £980. Which is also a decent price where I live (Norway). I decided to just preorder rather than wait as I saw all cards across the board go up in price at various retailers. So I'm glad i locked in that price now.
I really wanted the MERC, but it wasn't possible to order it. So I'm hoping the Sapphire will be as good although it seems slightly slower out of the box compared to the MERC.
But this will be a great upgrade and I can't wait![]()
Wow thats verrrryyy cheap.
MSRP is 1000 and I have never seen the 6900 XT anywhere near MSRP.not sure cheap is the word less expensive perhaps ha ha
still mighty expensive for a graphics card if you see what I mean but a good price vs the rrp for sure !MSRP is 1000 and I have never seen the 6900 XT anywhere near MSRP.
They've had 3 drops as far as im aware from:Has the amd store had a single drop this year at all of any of the 68 series? I can't even remember the last time they had some for sale, early December I think?
I don't have Warzone so can't comment specifically on that. I do however also use an 850 Gold rated PSU and have had no issues at all with my 6900 XT. It could still be that your PSU is the culprit but if so, it's likely to be a fault as apposed to a capacity issue. Unless of course that particular game is prone to said spikes. Are you having similar issues in any other games? Do you have an aggressive overclock on your system RAM? If so, it would worth dialling this back a bit to see if that is causing your issue.This might be the wrong place for this so please move/direct me if needed but at the same time I'm also fed up of trying to solve this now...
Is anyone else having issues with their 6900xt? I can barely get a full game of Warzone out of it before my PC crashes. From what i've read its down to the cards spiking and tripping out the PSU (my EVGA 850 G3 can't cope....) OR the drivers time out and cause it. Anyone else having the same sort of issues or know any fixes other than just buying a 1000w which seems to be the only thing.
I rang a competitor today to potentially rma my 6900xt for driver timeout issues.This might be the wrong place for this so please move/direct me if needed but at the same time I'm also fed up of trying to solve this now...

I've heard of others having similar issues which turned out to be the overclock on their system RAM; their overclock was stable for everything else but the additional strain caused by ray tracing was causing issues. Dialling the RAM timings back a bit fixed the issue.I rang a competitor today to potentially rma my 6900xt for driver timeout issues.
For me it only happens when raytracing is enabled in modern warfare, cold War, dirt 5, and cyberpunk. Without rt enabled I don't have problems unless I heavily overclock. The guy on the phone said his 6800xt would do the same in metro exodus with raytracing so both him and I couldn't decide whether it was the driver or the card itself and I chose to not rma and keep testing.
I have a 850w platinum superflower psu and the card is a 3 pin red devil
@LtMatt
I've tried older drivers, stock everything in the bios, and then finally fresh windows and stock settings and then 3 different driver versions. That sucks man. I've only played Metro Exodus with RT on and didn't have any issues. My problem is with SAM. To get it working I have to do a fresh install of Windows but then a few days later it just stops working, no settings changed and everything appears to be enabled in the bios but the performance just disappears. I wouldn't swap that problem for yours though. ShhhhhMaybe just ignore RT altogether and enjoy the superior rasterization performance? If RT is important to you then RMA and get a 3090 (again), simples man
The above at least makes it a simple decision.
In the future when more games have reasonable rt it's going to be annoying to not enable it without crashes. Also it's not something that should crash
If you check in the drivers you can see if it's still enabledThat sucks man. I've only played Metro Exodus with RT on and didn't have any issues. My problem is with SAM. Dirt 5 is also, but that crashes with rt onNah it's just AMD being AMD imo, when the RT is built using AMD in mind it'll be fine (Spiderman on PS5 is fine for instance, although we're crossing platforms). Try WoW, that looks to be AMD-centric in its implementation.
