**** Apple Event "Spring loaded" - 20th April 2021 @ 18:00 UK time ****

The iPad Pro was impressive. Didn’t really get impressed by the new iMac. Hoping for a larger iMac Pro with M1X to upgrade to in the future.

I don't think they're going to release a M1X-based product. It will be M2X in fall based on A15's microarchitecture. Makes no sense to produce an entirely new chip based on A14's design for a June release.

We'll see 16-inch MBP and 32-inch iMac in September/October.

Anyway, new AppleTV for me, nothing else there really interested me.

I was annoyed that they didn't go higher end on the graphics side, to push into the living room gaming market even more. Not a priority right now apparently.

New Apple TV is all I'm really interested in there. I've got a first gen iPad Pro 11 which is still fast so no need to replace it. iMacs don't interest me.

I have the original AppleTV 4K but just use the LG C9 AppleTV app so not sure if I’ll get the new TV. But at £999 for the 128gb iPad Pro I’ll be getting one to replace my 2017 10.5” jobby.
