Only interested in a M1X/M2 imac. Have a feeling that a crappy M1 24" will only surface, or the higher end models will only release in Q3.

Why would it be crappy? It's faster than a good percentage of stuff out there. When they release the M1x/M2 will you be complaining you wanted an M3?

Yes it can. Windows on ARM has been able to run 32 bit x86 apps for some time, and IIRC 64 bit is in preview, maybe released now.

Isn't it on Microsoft Store apps?

iPad Pro looks nice but I think I'd like to see what Apple have in store for iPadOS; just over £2000 for the 1TB/16GB/5G Model with a Magic Keyboard but I could just about replace my Galaxy S7+ and stop me from buying a Surface Pro for my photography and design work....

No; the 32Bit emulation can run anything as can 64Bit although the 64Bit its fair to say isn't all that great so far.

Calling iPadOS 15 will have some sort of iPadOS and macOS convergence, hence the upto 16GB RAM on the iPad Pro and larger storage drive. With the mark-up for the 16GB + 1TB/2TB options, pushing people to the higher marked up iPads + magic keyboard accessories e.g. will make them more money than selling someone an iPad + MacBook.

It looks like I'm going to be using my 27" iMac a little longer. I like the new design though.

Judging by the iPad it seems indicative the bigger iMac in addition to being less colourful will have the XDR tech in too. Hopefully a 30" display too if the 21" has been bumped up to 24". Nice to have a redesign finally!

I'm on a 2nd gen Pro 12.9" and might do what I did last time and gift my mum this (she has my old 1st gen 12.9") and then I'm not sure if I'll get this or just get a newly-discounted 4th gen as it's just SO overpowered for what I use it for most of the time.

Yeah and also no upgraded 16 inch model either, it means I can happily keep mine for another few months
Obviously the M1 stuff appears to be outstanding (I’ve not used any myself) but I can’t give up the 4 thunderbolt ports, larger screen and the best speakers on a laptop ever for a piddly 13 incher (), M1 or not.

Don't remember it being said on the presentation but the Air Tags have a user-replaceable battery that lasts a year.

for years now the iPad has been effectively crippled by the OS. Any opening up of it would be welcomed. Still can't even just drag and drop music on IOS/IPAD os devices. It's beyond daft. As such my iPad Pro has spent most of its life living in a draw.

MicroLED is the future, but we're talking about MiniLED here.... They are 2 different technologies
