RX 6700 XT - Is supply getting to UK?

Basically gutted I didn't manage to get one of these on launch, I was primed and ready but decided to wait until the next batch...schoolboy error!

Anyway, I've noticed that supply of these appears to be minimal and generally limited to not very many AiB manufacturers, all of which tending to be higher spec models.

All I want is a Powercolour Fighter or Sapphire Pulse, but since day one I've not seen one anywhere...

Is there a documented shortage of AMD cards coming to UK (I know AMD themselves have ostracised us here on their own store)? I would imagine it would be more profitable to sell the lower end cards with the cheaper cooling solutions than the top end hence the confusion at the lack of supply of the entry level models.

Not sure why the AMD shop does not sell direct to the UK.

why bother paying for the post brexit hassle when the rest of europe can buy the entire stock in seconds? It's literally more money doing it the way they are.

Once demand settles in a year or two, they'll open up to the uk again.

It’s true but that improves the PR and the optics of the audience

One place currently has some 6700xt in stock, for a low low price of £900-£950 :cry::cry:
To, potentially, defend whomever that is...there's a £300 cost difference between the what the 6700XT MBA cards cost at launch and some of the "flagship" after market cards cost now.
It's bonkers but we saw it coming

AMD's MSRPs are as fictional as Nvidia's

To give you some idea, the MSRP for the upcoming 6700XT MBA is exactly the same as our COST price. So they expect us to make nothing...not even cover our costs...
erm....no, that's not happening.

Worse still, AIB cards are usually more expensive to make than MBA/Founders, so when they start coming through we're going to be well over "MSRP"

Can retailers not just go to amd and nvidia and tell them to put the crack pipe down with regard to their reference boards and them being priced with no profit to the retailer?

I appreciate cost's etc are far higher currently for retailers and that profits need to be made.

The main query was in terms of the actual stocks.. are we in the UK getting the arse end of the deal in terms of supply? Why are we not getting the lower end models ?

I'm resigned to the fact that IF I take the plunge now I'm looking at around £650 for a lower end 6700 XT, with the XFX cards being the most common I've seen coming in at £710. The only other card I'm considering is a 3060TI but again they are extremely difficult to find and even more overpriced from a price/perf basis.

not really, in situations like this, who gets what stock is heavily influenced by AMD & Nvidia.

Honestly, right now i'd wait it out and see what's coming with regard to the 3070-ti/3080-ti. You might end up paying £700 for a 6700xt and be able to get a 3070ti for a similar price shortly after, which would be a right kick in the balls.

OcUK has had a few batches of stock the last months. I picked up a Nitro+ here a month back. To be fair, the card has only been worth having since mid April when AMD released 21.4.1 drivers as before that the framerate was worse than my RX 580 in CS:GO and PUBG. Now I'm getting 200+ FPS in both. I'd wait and see if OcUK can deliver some more - though likely it'll be to longer-term forum users to eschew tossers flogging them on ebay for a quick quid.

3080ti will be north of 3090 fe msrp - hearing no reference cards for ti range

Probably be worth waiting for the 7700xt at this rate. 7000 series is due next year with AMD aiming for a 50%+ performance gain. I am looking forward to see how the forums react when the nvidia 4000 and AMD 7000 series are released and many people paid £700+ this generation, will they be trading in and flooding the market, lowering prices or potentially make a big loss on the 3000/6000 cards
