32 at the moment, usually set at 38.

Goes down to 26, quite tempted to see how that feels in the "heat of summer".

I think mine needs to be above a certain temperature for the fresh water salt system to be efficient. Will look into it.

How often do you guys change the water?

My grandparents never used to change thier pool water. Just pumped more chlorine in!

It depends on how much chemicals you use tbh. Ours being fresh water salt system can go 12 months. Otherwise 4 months is the usual.

When water gets tired it won’t hold chlorine anymore or you’ll have to use pretty high doses.

Depends how often I use it and how well I maintain the water. Generally 3-4 months, although I’ve stretched it out to 6 over the winter in the past. There comes a point when whatever you’ve done you can tell the water just needs a change.

OK that makes sense. Thanks guys. Had it going few months and felt it was needing more chlorine. Time for a change!

Yes, that’s generally a good sign it needs changing. I always put a flush in the system before emptying the water to remove any biofilms and any other grime.

We do ours every 3 months living in a hard water area. It's about that next week.
Filter gets a good clean, empty the tub (pump is handy), wipe it all down with anti bac wipes and refill the same day. Usually up to temperature by the next evening.

Yup, I use a pump here too with a pipe straight into the drain. Takes about 15-20 minutes to empty. The biggest pain is getting the last inch or so of water out of the centre. Usually use a bucket followed by a large sponge to soak up the remaining water.

Also a hard water area here, so chuck in
150g pH minus, 110ml anti-scale and 14g chlorine once it’s refilled. The water usually settles in the correct range after that.

I fill my hot tub with soft water, the softener can be regenerated with table salt which is handy.

I'm dreading the draining. It's so much water. Then refill. Then the heating where its basically on all day!
