Dude, it's got Tornados you can use to slingshot yourself with parachutes and ridiculous skins incoming.

It's not really a "war game" it's just a generic FPS that doesn't take itself seriously any more and has been for a few generations.

You're clearly bothered by it, that much is indisputable. If you can't see the avatars as completely irrelevant and just someone to shoot or be shot by, then maybe just play a different game.
