Once upon a more innocent time, a cute monkey was a viable image for promoting a product, organisation or company. But due to blatant racist usage (e.g. monkey chants at sporting events) and errors of judgment (e.g. putting a black child in a monkey T shirt for an advertising campaign) has the monkey now gone the way of the Gollywog? Or is there still a place for a cartoon/toy monkey as an acceptable promotional image in polite society?

I tried to make a brew earlier, but when I poured the water over my PG Tips they produced a gas rather than my usual brew.

My daughter thinks they're called narnas becusee they are also depicted holding a narna.

You only have to look at the patriarchal structure of monkey society to understand how toxic and regressive they are.

We should ban images of them being shown in schools as it could negatively influence children.
