I'm wondering which CPU to use for this game. It's for my partner's PC and she's currently using a 5600X, 32GB and 2070S. She games at 3440*1440 @ 100Hz. As battlefield games are normally heavy on the CPU I'm wondering if it's worth using a spare 3900X I have lying about? It's got twice the cores/threads which might be more useful than the IPC increase?
I’m sure the 5600X will be just fine. Better IPC and efficiency.

No idea but I got a great deal on a 7700K @ 4.9 and managed to sell my 6600K @ 4.7 for a decent wedge so only cost me £60 all in but gained 20-30FPS in 2042. I guess those extra threads help a lot. Everything else stayed the same.

Weapon list, very disappointing tbh...
That can't be right.... Surely? I was REALLY hoping for the same level of weapon choice as BF4.......... This is seriously disappointing if true

Im hoping its a fair wack more polished for the early release on 12th compared to the Beta. The gun choice seems a little disappointing from what I hoped and expected.
My guess 22 weapons at launch & you unlock guns as you level up.... OR BUY via the store/ new guns in DLC

That screenshot shows the weapons unlocking at certain levels. It seems they've removed weapons locked behind challenges which is what I used to love.

Don't forget this is having a battle pass and seasons.. Of course there will be limited weapons in game.
They will add more in the BP to get us grinding or buying, from the sounds of it there will be a free track and paid tracks.. what a time to be alive
I just hope its only skins that are locked behind the paid track.

I think it's been confirmed somewhere that all things like maps, guns and specialists will be available to all players regardless of Battlepass.

Battlefield 2042 Seasons Explained
The first year of Battlefield 2042 will contain four seasons, presumably released every three months. The first season will begin when 2042 launches. Every season will contain the following content:
- One new Specialist
- New Specialists are free to everyone
- A Battle Pass with a free and paid track
- Paid track only contains cosmetic items
It is EA though and they love money so take with a pinch of salt.
Standard purchase here. Sod the £20+ premium for cosmetic stuff and playing a week earlier.
Only downside that I can see is that it’ll take me a day to download 100Gb now that I live in the countryside, and won’t get the key until launch day so no preload for me from CDKeys.

Battlepass and seasons will contain the better weapons for sure. They'll make you pay for it one way or another.
