CGI fest I find them boring recently, the plots second to the CGI in a lot of movies it seems.

Not hopeful for this at all. The first JP was great fun, but they've become increasingly dumb as the series has progressed.

The "summer blockerbuster" writing history of the 3 script/story writers is "Jurassic World 1+2, Star Wars Ep9, Pacific Rim 2, Kong Skull island" - Not screaming "great writers" to me at least. Seemingly 2 of the team wrote/directed "Safety Not Guaranteed" which is a good indie-style film and have been living off that reputation ever since despite creating virtually nothing but some serious guff ever since.
