Portal still broke. Too often it fills one team with all the players, leaving the other team with 8 players and all the rest are bots.

BF4 was worse on release for bugs. It took about 6 months to sort that mess out. Difference was the base game always looked promising.

Issue with bf2042, as people have said, the actual game itself has been messed with and changed in a direction that just doesn’t work and moves away from what made BF great.

Why weren’t squads just left alone! Why can’t we all easily join the same server. Specialists? Just no.

It doesn’t feel right, and it’s not just the bugs that are the issue.

Had some good games but that’s down to the people I am gaming with and not so much the game itself.

people should stop buying these kinda games until they let people host their own servers again and make mods possible....

only thing that made BF good was basically mods..... as soon as they killed that the games started going downhill fast and getting consolitis

Wont happen sadly. When consoles became mainstream, dedicated servers went the way of the dodo. Just as server browsers. Hence why everything is matchmaking. What does it say when Quake Champions is PC only and all it has is matchmaking. No dedicated servers, no server browser.

Mods cannot be eating into Battle Passes, in game stores and DLC revenue.

People are still playing this?

Seen a post the other day claiming theres more bfv players, on steam at least. No doubt the numbers for this will be swelled a bit by people on santas naughty list, instead of coal in their stocking santa left them a code to a festering heap of crap.

Must say have been tempted to give bf 5 another go as when I played it a few months back there, it was actually somewhat alright, compared to 2042, you could say it is a masterpiece :D

I uninstalled 2042 a couple of weeks ago and I reinstalled BF5 which I only played for 10 hours since its release.

It is so, so much better than 2042 in every area. Proper maps, great sound, classes, I am having a great time. It runs great too. Feels like a proper BF title where an actual war it taking place, it's very atmospheric.

I don't understand how they managed to release 2042 in such an awful state and because it lacks soul, it will never be a fun game.

It's simply a rush released game made mostly by devs new to the franchise, the game didn't have conquest\rush at it's core and it's a slap dash *********** of gaming trends bukkaked together whilst stripping out a ton of expected features from past games. It's hard to imagine the maps took more than a month or 2 to create considering theyre mainly empty space, and they mostly play the same except for the one set at night with shipping containers.

How battlefield ever got to this state is beyond me, just seems like a lot of the devs were bored making battlefield games that were always released too early and ****** off elsewhere to make other things.

Well you've got a generation now that only want to follow and copy each other.

JackFrags did a video before 2042 released saying he was uninstalling BFV and that maybe he’d go back to it in a couple of years for nostalgia.

Cut to two months after release, he’s back on BFV. Tells you all you need to know really.

V is really a great game to be honest. Runs well, looks fantastic and the movement is so smooth.

I enjoy my time on 2042 when I play it, but that seems to be maybe once or twice a week at most. The controls are so clunky that it quickly gets frustrating.

So, I ahve the standard edition of this game. What does buying a year 1 pass/DLC give me? From what I can see its just skins and littlke value? Or do I need the season passes for something?
