i've seen a few property of late around that command crazy amounts of money per month and this example is 8k pm

dont get me wrong, its a nice house but 8k pcm?!...

There are some use cases where i can see a need to pay over the odds for a short term let vs a hotel but why so much!

there are a few other propertied in MK that command +4k month where as the usual is ~1.6-2k for 4 bed properties so any one know what the deal is with in these instances?

Unless location I'm not seeing it - around here nicer places are like 3-4K a month - though surprised they are that much even looks like prices have gone up a bit.

With the way the beds are laid out (in more rooms than the stated 5 bedrooms, and that's accounting for the multiple angles of some rooms) it looks more like a hotel than a home.

MK is quite the hub for big business. The house is probably advertised to companies with foreign hq to be used by employees visiting or temporarily working at the UK office etc.

Yes it is bizzare. A 5 bed house, and yet there are 3 beds in one room. What kind of giant family used to live there!

There are 3 beds in most rooms, it's advertised to sleep upto 15 people.

It's all a bit strange, at 8k pcm, the deposit is a meager £500! It does say all bills included though. Could set up a few mining rigs to to pay for the rent with the leccy included.

This looks like a BnB house. I've seen a few of them. Rather than rent a shared house by the room, they often allow the entire property to be let at a discount.

The rent is usually high as these properties normally have a maximum let duration of up to 3 months tops.

Looks nice and clean, but with all those beds it’s like an upmarket doss house, or a b/b for truck drivers!

It's a fully furnished, serviced house with all bills included. It's targeted towards high end business lets. Idyllic location, done to a high standard loads of space.

The Rightmove ad is just to drive clicks. The property itself is a serviced apartment first and foremost.

If your employer rented that out for you and a bunch of colleagues you'd be pretty annoyed being put in one of the shared rooms!

I'm gonna presume it's aimed at Airbnb style family holiday, which when added up works out pretty cheap if your making use of most of the beds. Except it's in Milton Keynes, not exactly renowned for its amazing holidays :D Good for the F1 perhaps

This. Friends rented their house whilst working overseas to a couple on a relocation package. Money for renting pales in comparison to other relocation costs, but can have a drastic positive impact on the relocators happiness/willingness to move etc.

Yes it’s too expensive, but I think describing it as merely ‘run of the mill” is stretching it a bit.

I only needed to look at the first picture to know that’s not run of the mill, even for OCUK.

True, run of the mill is somewhat misleading, however for the cost you'd expect something with more finesse perhaps..
