Various mining tubers already saying its the new king of mining, so expect real pricing to be at least 100% higher
That implies that density counts for nothing? Guess these work at x1 but do miners have mobo's which can take 10 of these? Othewise the overheads of a mobo, CPU, RAM etc. should surely make this less appealing?

The short answer is yes. Theres a device you can get from ebay and other places which expands a 16x slot to 4 1x slots (which also means mining doesnt need a lot of bandwidth). Also mining motherboards also exist

Which cards is the 3050 going to be relative in performance to from previous generations?

I previously had a Radeon 580 8GB myself for comparison. Assuming the 3050 will be better and a good 1080p card?
