The US has never been so weak and the world sees it

I suspect they're being world diplomatic - recognising they are nolonger the only 'superpower' when the Chinese are attempting to overtake them. Russia is more of a challenge and it would take a world war or a long time sanction hit to tackle them. However I suspect a weak russia would be an invite for the Chinese to invade.

Bit risky rolling armor down a main road into another country, the other route is the same place Germany got bogged down in WW2?

Chernobyl has been selected because it is isolated and fairly easy going.

More likely it is easy to weaponise against western Europe.

An "accident" at chernobyl, at this time of year (original disaster was april) when the prevailing winds are towards the west and north of Ukraine,, would irradiate a lot of western Europe as it did before.

Parts of Cumbria, Scotland and Northern Ireland were impacted, and North Wales was hardest hit, with sheep in Wales still failing radioactive tests 10 years after the accident in 1996.

The last restrictions on the movement and sale of sheep in the UK were lifted in 2012, 26 years after the meltdown.

The Americans voting that fool into power are to blame.

Weak, weak, weak
Who Biden? Sure, they could have surely got someone much younger than Biden but I find him likable. Besides, it's the people behind him that do the hard graft.
Trump's final days...well, we saw enough there to know he should never have been the leader of the USA.There was probably a mutual respect between him and his Russian counterpart - two similar characters. Trump the wannabe dictator who tried to overthrow a democractic election...

Maybe Trump has contributed to this problem, with his undermining of Nato etc and maybe the reasons why the American people put him in power too. America's image was in decline on the world stage under Trump.

That would cause a response from Western Europe as if it had been attacked... I dont think that will happen

Calm down, they're not capturing Chernobyl to try and irradiate half the continent - they've invaded to occupy the country, they won't be turning it into a radioactive wasteland on purpose.

The night could get interesting for Ukraine. Russia can’t operate well at night so some of the western surveillance drones and tech is going to help with offensives. Russia still haven’t taken any cities yet. This can’t be going very well for them now.

Not a chance it would.

The west are to weak, and basically scared, of Putin and Russia to do anything.

If the west had any semblance of strength and guts, they would have put a million troops inro Ukraine months ago to tell Putin stay out.

Hmm I'm not sure about that.

I think too many of the major ukrainian defensive infrastructure has been damaged.

Remember Russia has had eyes on all of the airfields, Sam sites etc for months if not longer and basically smashed them all in the initial salvo leaving only what you now see.

You really give Putin that amount of intelligence ?

Interesting.

There is a difference between invading Ukraine and irradiating Western Europe with what is basically a massive dirty bomb
