Now seems 100% confirmed, a huge strategic loss for Russia, not to mention the loss of one of their Elite Units that were holding it.

Again another major attrition loss for Russia.

They should, but regardless all these decades of sitting pretty after the USSR fell had clearly made people lazy regarding the risks of a trade based foreign policy with Russia. Unfortunately can't very well just turn it all off without risking NATO ripping itself apart from internal strife by citizens who don't want to sacrifice even an inch of their precarious and/or profligate lifestyle.

Yup, they lost a bunch of helicopters on the way in now they've potentially had an SF/airborne unit wiped out/captured/fleeing for their lives...

Seems they're having some successes, though Russia has made some serious inroads into their country...

I do hope so, if the Ukrainians do fight back Putin could get a bloody nose, it's a massive country.

Yup me too, they had a rocky start, army not fully mobilised in advance etc.. but hopefully they're going to be able to pick off Russian armour etc.. especially if they enter the cities.

Logistics could become a serious issue too if convoys get ambushed on roads etc...

How much of Putins forces do we think he has sent in so far? Has he held back most of his military and thus has plenty of punches to throw yet or has he already put in a hefty percentage of his forces and not had the success with them he thought?

Why. There are no shortage of videos out there that people make in times of great stress. Some people live on their phones now. She might hope this message is seen by family members. She is likely in shock, doesn't know what to do, making a video is doing something rather than just sitting their terrified.

Ensuring ones own safety seems like what most people would do first of all. Contacting family or friends to say bye seems like the next obvious choice.
