Not sure striking a lighter note is appropriate at this thoroughly depressing time, but the alliterative image of Putin pocketing Penguins is too good to let slide. There's a link in the thread to another article about him pocketing someone's Superbowl ring. It's no surprise Putin's an 'interesting' character, but these small things are somehow every bit as revealing as his current madness.

They didn’t vote against. They should support sanctions though. Anyone watching FL24 would have seen a lot of Turkish military transporters going to Poland. There were some last night going there so they are helping.

They are neutral. It is their position. Them and Israel could be good negotiating partners with Russia. I agree it should be more clear from them they are opposed to Russia.

Andrey Sadovyi, the Mayor of the city of Lyiv, which is located in the west of Ukraine, was quoted announcing the news by the Telegram messaging service. In a slight signal of hope for Ukraine, Mr Sadovyi said: “Russians landed three helicopters near Brody at 9am – about 60 people. The [Ukrainian] armed forces are repelling the occupier! We are keeping the situation under control.”
