They're going to send in Max Verstappen to drive the Russians off the road?

:D

I'm wondering whether some back door deal has been done with China that means EU and Nato can send arms to Ukraine? Otherwise, its a bold move.

Not as bold as invading a country.

Countries providing "aid" to a country they support is pretty normal. Especially when it is a sovereign state under invasion. Russia knows what they are doing is wrong, what is there argument going to be?

Random fact but Germany actually fought alongside America in WW2 in a couple of battles, in the dying days the the regular German army (Wehrmacht) and the Nazi army (the SS) had pretty much had enough of each other and started fighting in a number of battles. The most famous one was the siege of castle Itter where the Americans helped the German/Austrian army defend a POW camp and it's prisoners from an SS army sent to wipe them all out, this was also the only occasion in history where American forces defended a castle against an attacking force.

Putin has had it now. Utterly no respect for him ANYWHERE! He has destroyed any respect Russia had too.

I be surprised if he lasts much longer in office. If he does, and things dont start going his way, he may press the wrong buttons!

He can't press the buttons, it requires more than him to progress through the launch sequence. He can give the order but from all reports, the orders seem to be lost in the system on purpose quite often.. a bit like the UK's civil service.

Russia has only thrown in 50% of the stuff it had on the borders, it still has a massive military beyond that

It doesn't really, people keep on making that mistake but it's got a massive military on paper, in terms of combat-ready units they're mostly all either in Ukraine or on on the border.

One thing I've wondered about all these supplies, where are they actually coming from ? Current stock of NATO military supplies or surplus supplies ? Perhaps IF Putin has any plan, it's to weaken the West by making them burn all their supplies giving them to the Ukrainians

It's not NATO stock per se but from member countries. I don't think that makes any sense as a plan, weaken the west to do what? We can manufacture more weapons, IIRC the UK's initial order of NLAWS was like 20k or so, we've sent circa 2k to Ukraine.

I never knew that and thought I'd read up quite a lot on WW2! Interesting.

The irony is that while all this is going on we have enough planes and firepower gathered In neighbouring NATO countries to take down every tank and plane Putin has in Ukraine in a heartbeat but leaders are too chicken **** to use them.

I wouldnt call being scared of the worst possible warfare humanity has ever seen "chicken ****"

I feel as bad as anyone that our hands are tied, but the one thing nobody wants is the kind of escalation that would ensue if we started sending troops because a nato-russia war doesnt stay conventional.

Russia still has a "democratic" process in place. So there is a chain of command and re-elections.

It isn't quite a kingdom.
Problem is Putin's party pretty much follow his lead, so much so that many forget he wasn't even in charge of Russia between 2008-2012 only calling the shots from the shadows, he served his maximum two terms as president and left office in 2008 only to get elected again in 2012 because the term limit had been removed and because his more popular successor chose not to stand for re-election.

Just listening to audio only, and it's been very intense over the last 10 minutes or so.
Am surprised they still have power stations to run all them lights

would have expected the power stations to been one the main targets the russians would have taken out..
