Yes they could give weapons in the past, but not now.

Im sure the CIA have their methods of getting weapons of a smaller scale in - oops, I just happened to leave these over the border, I hope no Ukrainian forces take them. That’s a bit trickier to do with a stealth bomber

What military purpose would that serve? That would just cause massive suffering on civilians.

There has to be a Europe wide programme devised to deal with this. It’s not really helpful to just let them go to any country they wish. We should all take an equal share.

That would just cost Russia more resources to repair in the aftermath which is already being used to keep their own economy stable.

The irony is that while all this is going on we have enough planes and firepower gathered In neighbouring NATO countries to take down every tank and plane Putin has in Ukraine in a heartbeat but leaders are too chicken **** to use them.

Problem is if we join forces with Ukraine then because they have formed an alliance with a nuclear power and Russia is at war with them they are legally allowed to use nuclear weapons against them under the Budapest memorandum (yeah the one that also says he won't invade) even though they're at war because Russia invaded >.>

I feel as bad as anyone that our hands are tied, but the one thing nobody wants is the kind of escalation that would ensue if we started sending troops because a nato-russia war doesnt stay conventional.

So instead we Arm the civilians and send them into battle while we cheer from the sidelines like a footy game.
