They do - whether he admits it or not. The Russian economy has fallen off a cliff, disaster looms for Russia.

So other than harming the innocent people of Ukraine, he's achieved nothing and made himself look a right tit.

He'll likely ultimately take Ukraine, but he won't hold it.

But those sanctions will be costing Russia countless billions. Finland and Sweden will likely join Nato, meaning any attempt at further expansion will be met with much larger and more advanced forces.

Nobody will trade with them so there's no economic benefit to gaining Ukraine's resources.

Britain makes some of the best weopons of war in the world, we have the Sky Sabrre missile defence system which is just as good as the Patriot so we don't need to buy anything from the USA.

He hasn't played them at all. It isnt like the west never thought of this scenario.

I imagine they are just surprised he's just decided to totally **** up Russia's economy.

No, Nukes need very precise and highly controlled detonentation sequence to trigger the Fusion reaction. If you have one on the ground they are easily destroyed with a convenientional charge , albeit the radio active materials are dispersed. Doing this in the air doesn't change too much. The radioactive material will disperse, but not too far.

The hard part is tracking and getting any kind pf missile there fast enough

Aye, if you can knock it out of the air it's relatively harmless, knocking it out of the air, not so easy.

The really big ones need to be delivered by bombers but no bomber would get anywhere near.
