But if Zelensky is out there with his army fighting, there will be a very high chance he could killed. I will assume he is taking plenty of precautions with the squad he is with to protect himself to maintain the defence of his country, still a high risk of him being killed though.

ANd at times of war, why the hell are a select few stll being racist?!?! Its a conflic/war!!! work together and support eachother no matter where you come from!!

THEY ARE SUPPOSED TO BE UNITED and working together!

As i said, its sad and bad this conflict is happening but whats worse is that even despite desperate times of help and need, people stil cant put there racist behaviours behind and see a human being and not a coloured person....

ANd before you critise me, no i am not saying all ukranians are racist. just a select few.

I have ukranian friends and all lovely people and i even use to play sunday league football with a team filled with ukranians and me being the only coloured person in the team.

THey all treated me fairly and with respect..

It is just a shame that a select few in ukraine stil have a backward mentality

all women and children should be the priority regardless of their passport or race.

cannot underestimate the pressure these people are under - but as you say these issues should be highlighted so that they can be resolved by calmer heads.

Yes, but if it is protection then why did they invade from all sides at the same time. That message fails in so many ways.

Have you read any of the posts regarding this topic?

Here is some suggestions.

  1. Make it fully aware that this is happening
  2. Call out the people who are being racist and deal with them in the correct mannor
The above would help mitigate this . Or you hope it would

Surely this is an issue of citizen prioritisation. Because I have also heard that English and Polish speakers are likewise refused access. So if white foreigners and black foreigners are being treated equally against Ukrainian citizens it's less a race issue. But it's the 2020's everything has to be nazi's under the bed these days.
 
Ikea is closing all of its Russian and Belarusian stores.

I know they're just one chain but Russia looks to be ****** economically. Never have I seen such a reaction in my life towards another country.

At the risk of going off topic, it's always surprised me that some in the UK bang on about how racist the UK is. We're probably one of the least racist countries in the world. I've been served by a girl in Ukraine with my coloured friend and she had "White Pride" tatttoed on her legs just under her butt. We've been refused service in a chemist - I personally think it was late and girl just couldn't be bothered to serve the idiot foreigners - but my friend took it as his colour was why she didn't serve us.

So I'm not surprised there has been incidents of racism on the borders.

Anyway, back to the topic - do we know if the meeting is still going ahead? It's half 1 there now so presumeably it's started?
 
I would imagine there are white non-Ukrainians who also have been refused travel/entry but its not as good a story.

It is rather chaotic over there, Id cut them some slack and call a temporary ceasefire in the culture wars while schools are getting shelled.

first you denied that is was happening. Then you say that it is only a minority and try to excuse it as being okay.
