Sending planes was ruled out days ago.
The Russians are struggling because they did a surprise attack, yet the only ones who were surprised were their own soilders so they were completely unprepared.
It's back on the table, this time with US involvementSending planes was ruled out days ago.

Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelensky has repeated a call for a no-fly zone over his country in a video-link address to nearly 300 US lawmakers.
He also called for a ban on imports of Russian oil and pleaded for Russian-made fighter jets, which his country’s pilots know how to fly, to help fight the enemy advance in his country.
In response, Senate majority leader Chuck Schumer said he'd help the Biden administration to facilitate their transfer from Eastern Europe (BBC News App)
This must be the first war where the attackers were surprised that they are going into war.
Dunno. In C&C a very early tank rush seemed to work unless the other side was expecting it. In the case of Ukraine they were expecting it.Has Putin never played command and conquer? Logistics first! Get your income and power sorted then build the shiny tanks![]()
It's come up again due to this today
I'm sure the US could lend a few aircraft to NATO partners to support them sending older Russian jets
If Colonel_klinck wakes up and stubs his toe he will blame the Tories the bloke obsessed.London is a large financial centre... as for the Tories and their donors, that's perhaps for an SC containment thread, it's not particularly interesting or relevant here.
As Poland is a NATO country and there are so many troops in all countries that surround Ukraine and Russia with aircraft carriers in the seas as well as planes at airbases within the country they don't really need to worry about missing a few old Mig 29s.They are trying to but its complicated.
U.S is asking European countries who have any Migs in stock to send them to Ukraine and the U.S will replace the Migs with F-16s.
The problem however is that the U.S doesn't have any off the factory line F-16s to send them so it would be IOU F-16s that leave those European countries more exposed.
U.S is currently rolling new F-16s off the factory line, but the next batch has been purchased by Taiwan
Decent country they are a rogue state mate always have been remember when they shot down flight MH17 and tried to blame the Ukrainians.Visa and MasterCard have suspended service in Russia..
There’s no way back from this for Putin, or at least I can’t see it… It just feels like he’s overplayed his hand, this situation with the convoy could end up being the biggest military blunder for years?
Whilst it’s entertaining watching them struggle, it’s also sad looking at the mess they’re making to a decent country, they’re too big and proud to just stop and admit it was a mistake.
Already shown to be 'fake news'.
They won't go back to Ukraine a nice life in Germany or a run down flat in an old Soviet apartment block. What I don't get is this, Putin's latest publicised pseech bangs on about basically letting him win Ukraine otherwise nobody wins (again insinuating a nuclear outcome...).
But given the state of the Russian economy which experts say has gone beyond recovery now, what exactly does he plan to do /if/ he attains Ukraine? There isn't any economy left to rebuild and repopulate Ukraine and none of the sanctions will be lifted if he does get his way so he basically ends up with a paperweight of a country and those who fled will remain long term in their host countries as refugees and beyond.
I think he means the mess they are making to Ukraine.Decent country they are a rogue state mate always have been remember when they shot down flight MH17 and tried to blame the Ukrainians.

Take every video coming from both sides with a pinch of salt
