I'm no economist, but I'd hope it would all balance out a bit... Wage increases pushes up prices of domestic goods, more expensive goods equal more VAT income, higher wages equal more income tax. More government income allows for public wages to increase. Inflating away some of the Covid bill would be good too? Proportionally our household bills will be forever changed, with energy taking up a much bigger slice of the pie.
Wrong again, rent prices have gone up and so has the availability of rentals. due to Covid rentals were chosen by the landlord because there were to many applicants.
