I suspect there’s a LOT of background chat going on, including threats from the Russians. Probably along the lines of we WILL retaliate against that country, but only that country. If NATO responds it is they who escalated, not us.
Those migs are like hot potatoes. Polands, understandably worried about being seen as the only country to provide them so if the block agrees then Russia knows an attack on Poland will see a joint response.
Also Poland encouraging others means Russia retaliating against them all will almost certainly provoke a response and therefore chance are Russia will bluster but not much will come of it.

Probably in the long run I’m not sure they’ll make that big a difference, might be wrong, so not seen as a risk worth taking by the pentagon. Better to keep them supplied with anti air. it'd be great to see lviv get some full iron dome/patriot batteries which would make it almost impossible to take and cut off western supplies. Although given how things are it’s probably already beyond Russias ability to take without losing everywhere else.

It makes absolute sense for each and every Ukrainian to call for a no-fly zone, they are fighting in essence for their existence. It is not their job to worry about our security.

On the other hand it is in our interest not to answer that call.

We (the West) have been fighting Russia since the end of WW2 covertly, at some point we'll have to get our hands dirty and accept the reality that if we ever want it to end we need to overtly fight them, the same probably applies to China as well
 
If Zelensky did agree to Russia's terms remain Neutral it would last about a month before the Ruskie's do what they do best and slip him some Novichok and install a puppet government.

I do not think we need to ever enter a direct conflict. Proxy wars on borders of a rival powers is a great way to weaken said power. Since we cannot remove rival power (nukes) all we can do is to perpetually weaken it so it does not have resources to threaten us or our interests. Proxy wars directly on the border is just about the best way to do it.

Yes we can never be allies with them or China a lot of people are Anti American but its better for us that they are the world superpower i don't trust China at all.

Russia is a weak country without nukes NATO would be whopping Ruskie arse.
