The guy just makes himself look like an idiot. He could have followed the posts back to his post where he clearly say it but no, that is too difficult.

Reading those pages around that date the amount of posters swooning over Putin is worrying to say the least. They seem to crave leadership that invades other countries, murders political rivals, dissidents and journalists. You can imagine them all in 1933 voting for Hitler.
You seem surprised, if you look at politics in the UK its hard to find a sound political voice that appeals to those who like you said crave leadership. It is why they looked to people like Putin, Trump and so on.

You and many others on here just do not get it.

Ukraine is being sacrificed for the rest of the world to live, and to give time for Russia to be destroyed economically.

To all intents and purposes the West will allow ukraine to be wiped off the face of the earth, either conventionally or through the use of worse weapons.

At no time up to and including that point occuring, will the West or NATO intervene directly. Even after we will sit back and wait to see where Russia goes next

The west/NATO will up to a point, continue to throw weapons and money at Ukraine, untill it is obvious Ukraine will fall, then the influx of help will dry up pretty rapidly.

NATO will defend their member states, should any be directly attacked (massively unlikely) but they will never go into Ukraine as they are not allowed to.
However in the past there has been a limit on how much human suffering the west will tolerate. Admittedly not when Russia was directly to blame. If they started mass ethnic cleansing would that be tolerated?

What the chances of russia winning this as surely russia is hugely out numbered in this

Hopefully none, but Russia has pretty much unlimited man power vs Ukraine, despite their mechanical losses. I guess it depends at what point Russia decide to negotiate and what the outcome of that is - I doubt it will allow any kind of western input into Ukraine. Surely Russia must know that they could never hold onto Ukraine, the moment their troops leave they’ll lose the country.

Out of Ukraine 44 million Population how many of them do you guys think is willing to fight the russians ?

Now that’s the million dollar question - not only that, but those who can, how effective will they actually be.

Don't be coming in here with facts that go against the xenophobic rhetoric. You're post will be completely ignored by those posters.
The facts are that the majority of recent refugees have been fighting age men. This is EU own figures.

The majority of Ukrainian refugees will be women, children and the infirm.

More saddened/concerned. The same people like to claim they are worried their freedoms/way of life are being infringed yet crave authoritarian leaders who would remove those freedoms in a heartbeat.

It was tolerated it in the balkans so why wouldn't it be tolerated now? Its a war crime for sure but no-ones going to start WW3 over it.

Old news, still: It seems that not all the available fighters from Syria are pro-putin. Fighters from Syria are joining to fight for Ukraine. Not sure if all the talk bringing Syrian fighters to Ukraine is just smoke from Putins side? It is clear he is not using just mercs.

Syria: Has the Recruitment of Syrian Fighters Towards Ukraine Begun?
https://stj-sy.org/en/syria-has-the-recruitment-of-syrian-fighters-towards-ukraine-begun/

Monitoring individual initiatives, STJ documented that a fighter within the al-Hamza/al-Hamzat Division, known as Suhail Abu Tow/Suhail al-Hamoud posted several tweets in English on 25 February 2022. He was asking for available routes to Ukraine, to fight next to the Ukrainian forces against the Russian army.

Are some Russian politicians a bit deluded? Apparently one stood up and said that Russia may as well continue beyond Ukraine etc.

Like with what army? If they have struggled and lost this much against Ukraine, they have no hope against a tougher foe/NATO.

How many fingers am I holding up, Winston?

At what point in your scenario does Russia stop having an obscene number of nuclear weapons.

The agreements of who is in a defence treaty with who are rock solid as long as the stakes are nuclear war. Putin will respect that to the letter and so will NATO.

If Russia magically lost its nuclear weapons Russia's military would be obliterated by Nato forces with the ink still wet on the legal excuse invented 5 seconds earlier.
