China also can’t afford to be in sanctions or in any long term shift away from China that resulted from them partnering with Russia. Making China choose is the right thing to do and they will of course disown Russia at the prospect of sanctions for a war they are not directly involved with.

The Russian governments support for this war is based on lies and one sided propaganda spoon fed to the population.

If the thuth was told they would not have support, people can only go by what they are told and thats that nazis are running the country and they and the US are trying to wipe them out with bio weapons.

China holds the world over an economic barrel anyway, our way of life would pretty much cease over night and everyone would enter recessions massive ones if China got Sanctioned.
It's pretty much economic suicide.

China is literally becoming the worlds #1 thanks to short sighted greed and capitalism, Corporations should have started pulling out 10 years ago if not earlier.

I suspect no corporation really sees any allegiance to any country and they will always do what's best for themselves, I'm sure they are quite happy to sit and wait then suddenly become pro Chinese when it suits their interests.

Yes i agree and it needs to end, select companies started to back away from China many years ago:

But much more needs to be done to cut dependance on China, manufacturing can be moved to other parts of the world just as cheaply, will it happen overnight, nope, can it be done in the long run, yep, i just hope the speed of doing so accelerates.

It’s in China’s interest this war does not continue. I can’t see any reason other than driving a wedge between the west and Russia being of benefit for them. That would be a high price to pay to risk driving a wedge between themselves and the West.
