Up to Russia really, if they escalate to a point where others have to intervene or attack a nato member then that is ww3.

Ukraine has been pushing the ww3 message pretty hard though, understandable from their point of view. Will be for the history books to decide if their warnings had any merit.
 
Ultimately he is probably kind of right in that if Ukraine can't hold Russia back then ultimately this is going to spill over - Putin's latest speeches tend to indicate he has no intention of stopping at Ukraine.

It's true though tbh... Russia is salty about Ukraine making decisions for themselves just as the EU is salty about the UK making decisions for itself... both "empires" want to control their spheres of influence.

Obviously, the EU isn't being violent about it and invading etc...

He seems to think a third world war is going to happen if putin wins.
so that must mean he will do something to kick it off

He's making threats he can't back up.

No one who hasn't already is going to get involved if putin takes kyiv. so hows a third world war going to break out if they can't agree terms? he thinks suddenly the USA is going to put boots on the ground?

Not sure if you are intentionally ignoring there are more possible routes to that outcome or not.

I'm not 100% confident any of them would happen like he seems to be.

it's almost like he's saying he will force peoples hands to get involved if putin doesn't agree terms.
I wonder if his message is aimed at putin or Europe and the USA.

get involved now before it's too late, implement the no fly zone/force putin to stop or ww3 will break out.

what he wants is more likely to cause ww3

bit late to get involved now they probably should have done more at the start like draw a line across Ukraine that putin shouldn't cross, instead they pretty much let putin dictate what can happen


They could have at least roped off part of Ukraine and declared it as a non militarised zone where civilians would be safe and flooded humanitarian aid in.

It's the USA who are holding everyone else back and making sure Ukraine only get weapons and sanction support (much to the vexation of eastern NATO members). If it wasn't for the USA reigning in eastern NATO members then the Polish army would already be at Kiev.

I have a lot of Jewish friends and a lot of respect for them, but some of them just can't resist using the race card if things look as if they aren't going their way, and Zelensky hasn't disappointed here. I had a little bet with someone he'd play it by the end of the month, but he's tossed his card on the table early...
