Putin has been previously cited in one of the leaks IIRC as having claimed even if it cost 50,000 lives it's worth it. I think he sees it as some huge strategic thing for the future of Russia.
Probably also the thing they put out about only accepting payment for gas/oil in Roubles. Even though it won't actually happen.

Find it interesting Hungary, who are in both the EU and NATO, are refusing to help Ukraine be it either sanctions or weapons.

To be fair there is a genuine issue with Hungarians in Ukraine's Carpathian region, though it is largely cynical populism from Orban.
Hungary is a member of NATO; Ukraine isn't.
You're thinking of the Stasi (not saying your point is wrong, it isn't, just correcting the name). On an interesting note, the Stasi were actually more effective than the KGB/FSB, mainly due to being descended from the Gestapo.

Yes he doesn't say you're going to Ukraine but he says "And you're going to see when you're there" when talking about Ukraine which to any rational person who has even an average understanding of English would infer that they're going to be in Ukraine, in order to be able to see those things in Ukraine
Nope. I think he meant to say that ... basically a poke in the eye to the Kremlin and Putin.
Well, as they claim their objectives are on track and as we know they never lie we can extrapolate exactly what their objectives are!:
(1) - Unify NATO and the EU like they haven't been in decades.
(2) - Bankrupt the Russian economy and make all foreign companies leave and/or cease trading.
(3) - Make all neighbouring countries despise Russia.
(4) - Make the Russian military look like a joke*.
(5) - Kill tens of thousands of Russians for nothing.
So basically the goal seems to be to make it just like it was in the USSR days xD
