Eh? Russia may have tried what? I'm not sure what you're referring to there but it doesn't seem very relevant to the post you quoted.

To be clear my post is about NATO supplying Ukraine with the tanks/planes (MiGs etc..) that were asked for and that Poland was willing to give up. I'm not sure what that has to do with what you just posted or what you mean there.

My point - Ukraine will be prioritising it's finances to rebuild (estimated as $68bn in other reports).

*Russian Oil Is Showing Indications of Deterioration, From Exports to Refining.

I wonder why this is? Perhaps the increased demand has put pressure on the existing infrastructure that needs parts that can't be sourced due to factories shutting down. Subsequent failures of infrastructure will caused an exponential degradation of production.

"Fool me once; shame on you. Fool me twice; shame on me. Fool me a dozen times; I must be an EU diplomat." ~Kevin Croysdale

I thought it was "Fool me once, shame on, shame on......you. Fool me... you see, you can't get fooled again".

Funny seeing just how bad the Russia forces are at times - common tactic for instance is to bring in a AFV quickly alongside infantry, shoot the **** out of potential sniper and anti-armour positions i.e. upper floor windows, etc. then withdraw rapidly - but the Russia troops then move up behind the vehicle for cover when it wants to reverse out....... or tanks moving forward then infantry jumping on the back for cover only to get knocked off when the vehicle turns keeping the turret pointed at the potential hostile and rotating the body resulting in the gun sweeping them off...

Or they get ripped to shreds when the AFV/IFV gets hit by an anti-tank weapon. Either by the blast and shrapnel from the impacting warhead or from ERA panels working as designed.

Here's a bit more detail of that headline via Bloomberg & also Link potentially a good read too if you're interested.

A bit like me matching donations up to £5.
bet like me donating 45p when a checkout at tesco is trying to round me up to the nearest pound even when I'm paying by card

even when I log in my lloyds bank to check my balance now I'm getting nagged about donating to Ukraine....

strangely none of them tell you the bank details the National Bank of Ukraine set up for donations, they all want you to donate through them for tax purposes.....

I'd rather mail 45p or whatever directly to Ukraine than send it through a tesco self service checkout or some millionaires charity that they probably use for a tax write off

That isn't how taxes work

Exactly. And all those millionaires on the TV concert last night only got pledges of 12 million pounds between them with no matched donation offer.

Not exactly to sniff at it but TBH seems a bit stingy compared to the efforts from people a lot less better off. A local whip round raised something like 16K to fund a van run to Poland of supplies, seen several other efforts including individuals raise 1000s and an acquaintance through a group of business owners raised into the millions.
