This tells me that a peace deal is basically impossible, as no way Putin is going to pull out of Donbas, despite saying they would reduce military actions around Kyiv/Chernihiv, they had one of the worst nights of shelling since this thing began.
This is going to be a long slow grind to force Russia out of the country.

I'm wondering if Putin is attempting to sow seeds to disrupt the US elections.
Not sure if this has been posted but an interesting viewpoint. Going to ruffle some feathers with his take on Putin not being mad and that this only happened because Biden is in charge

Made some good points on why sanctions are pointless and believes that Putin is going to grab as much as possible before 2024 (next american election). Some interesting history lessons in there but his point is that we need to go head to head with Putin to force him to stop.

He doesn't watch the Western News ? I'd be surprised if he doesn't have a curious gander every now & then to see what we're all saying about him

Quite understandable given that under Obama the US, despite trying to exert influence over Ukraine via other means, didn't ship weapons to them. Then along came Trump and they started shipping Javelin's and other kit to the Ukrainian forces. Putin would certainly know that a Democrat US gov probably has less appetite for military confrontation than a Republican US one.

Donald Trump, famous for trying to steal the last election, actively tried to prevent sending weapons to Ukraine until he was given some non-existent dirt on his political rivals son.

He does make some very valid points, e.g. basically Putin is a bully and only respects power - saying your side won't use nukes means you may as well not have them etc.
I find it interesting that he suggests NATO need to put peacekeepers in to Ukraine to support humanitarian operations as Putin would be too scared to directly target NATO forces, I can certainly see the argument. Same with a no fly zone.
I basically agree with him - WWIII has already started, western leaders just refuse to accept it, there are weapons available that we can provide to Ukraine that will massively help them but for some reason we are dillydallying over giving them.

Was there much point in shipping weapons to them when the threat from corruption was so high? Trying to mitigate that first was probably a necessity and has longer-term benefits.

I imagine the support they received wasn't useless especially in the aftermath of a significant political upheaval, however in retrospect the administration ought to have also been shovelling in some more deadly hardware as well.
Still not sure what that has to do with NATO donating tanks and planes?
There were the three Baltic leaders (I believe) who travelled to Kyiv. From what I remember they announced the date and method of transport, which makes no sense from a security perspective, unless they wanted the Russians to know. Are we aware of any attempted by the Russians to take them out when they went to Kyiv? Because my assumption is Russia would give them a wide berth to avoid giving Nato a reason to jump in.

Yeah, it certainly supports that assertion.
Putin has threatened that weapons shipments heading to Ukraine are a valid target, but absolutely has not fired a single missile on to Polish soil.

I listened to it in bits as I had time last week, definitely gives you more insight, I will try watch that youtube video above later.
Ed - forgot to add I used the Google App to listen to it (Podcasts).
We shouldn't have a no fly zone, we should introduce a "we will shoot down Russian planes that enter Ukraine airspace" zone. Then open humanitarian missions all over Ukraine and tell Russia that if they fire on a single vehicle we will enter the war on Ukraine's side and destroy every Russian asset than remains in Ukraine - including Crimea - or is involved in fighting our forces.
Stop sitting on our damn hands, already.
I mean that's just a silly claim to make as it isn't possible to know.
