good, obviously the (rock) put down (of Will) "It's jadasnight .. That was a nice one!" wouldn't have irritated youHonestly I have no idea how to respond to someone that posts like you so I'm not going to.

"It's jadasnight .. That was a nice one!" - that was improvised and being cheeky, turning the knife.
Being able to cope with small irritations is the mark of an adult. Going full playground is the mark of a child!good, obviously the (rock) put down (of Will) "It's jadasnight .. That was a nice one!" wouldn't have irritated you
translation into English?
"Man say nasty. Me not cope nasty. Smash."
You are 100% correct. If someone was a cheeky **** and someone slaps them and then that person shots the other person because it's lawful to do that then so be it. It's the chance you take being either person in that situationIronic thing is that Chris Rock was probably in his right in some States to shoot Will Smith on the spot in defence.
Isnt that what people say who can't fight their way out of a wet paper bag?Being able to cope with small irritations is the mark of an adult. Going full playground is the mark of a child!
Completely correct. This is the tippity top of the mountain of slapping someone who mugged off your wife and people seeing it. That still doesn't detract from the fact that if you are a cheeky **** you might get a slap every once in a while.it really isn't. and the way i can prove this, is because it's big news that the one time it happened, everyone is now talking about it.
plus, chris rock wasn't being a cheeky ****.

Correct again. You are good at this. I think what I'm trying to say is that certain jobs carry a level of risk. Being the funny guy in the room carries the risk of getting a slap.Except the comedian has done nothing wrong and the guy just got himself killed because he couldn't take a joke.

Unless of course it's just funny jokes that are not at the expense of your audience.
Plus do you really believe that mugging off someone's loved one to their face is doing absolutely nothing wrong?
neither do i.Any connection to it in a negative manner in that joke, it is down to YOUR interpretation of it. I don't interpret it that way
You've fallen at the first hurdle. You are using personal preference as the foundation to your argument. You say "it should carry ZERO risk" against me saying that you may well get a slap and that's the risk which is infact a fact and not just in the case of Will and Rock. This is where you are wrong.
It should carry ZERO risk of being slapped. The job is a comedian, the job isn't the WWF or Boxer. Getting physical is not a comedian should have to face. Being heckled, sure, being insulted, sure. Physical confrontation is NOT on the agenda.
As for "mugging off someone's loved one to their face" He called he G.I. Jane. I repeated again
"I understand that on an award show, jokes should be light hearted and honestly, from my perspective, that was a NICE joke. The connection and connodation to her illness is on the listener. The joke itself does not state or refer to any illness whatsoever. It only refer to her likeness to G.I. Jane. The Likeness, and how you interpret it, that is down to the listener. If you interpret it the negative way, i.e. to her illness, that is all down to you. I actually just took it on the surface, she looks like G.I. Jane. End of story, I didn’t dig into why she shaved her head. For all I know, she shaved it for a role.
I said before, had he said “Jada, I love you, but you look like you just had Chemo.”
Now, that would be wrong. He said “Jada, I love ya, G.I. Jane 2, can’t wait to see it."
There is no reference in the joke to any illness."
Any connection to it in a negative manner in that joke, it is down to YOUR interpretation of it. I don't interpret it that way.
So you can keep saying he took offence thinking the joke is related to her illness, that part is the listener jumping the gun.

I do concur that in this particular case that the joke was either misunderstood, misheard or poorly received but that still doesn't take away from the fact that if you are mugging off someone that you run the risk of getting a slap. Not should, not maybe you 100% do and that is a risk of the job and it happens. I don't feel sorry for either party, I just know that it happens and I won't live in a pretend pink cloud world where everyone is up in arms about it.
Unlucky Rock, you rubbed up the wrong guy, on the wrong day, about the wrong thing. Its a risk and if any comedian thinks that he is up there in a bullet proof box then he or even she is naive.
Regardless of whether that person has a defence in court, the fact is that it happens and is very unlikely to stop in the next few hundred years. You do know that there is only 1 criteria and not the hurdle that i am failing.
The line or hurdle is that "YOU DO NOT ASSULT SOMEONE FOR WHAT THEY SAY."
The end. Period.
Every argument you are trying to make, will not stand up in court.
Regardless of whether that person has a defence in court, the fact is that it happens and is very unlikely to stop in the next few hundred years.
It's not that I support it or dont support it, I'm kinda indifferent and in this case I think that it happened and that unfortunately comedians walk a bit of a tightrope on this particular thing. Nature of the beast, risk of the job, it's just the way it is.What will happen is that before every show, there would be an announcement that anyone step on the stage will be remove from the building.
Or that comedians will get conceal licence for firearm and shoot anyone who step on the stage, using Will Smith as an example for legit reason because people think they are entitled to slap someone because they can't take a joke.
You think that's okay?
Or should people just grow up and take a joke as a joke as intended?

People then banging on about it for weeks and weeks afterwards about how shocking it is and what rules need to be put in place and how laws should change etc etc are almost worse. Get over it, it happens, we are all animals and will never be anything different.
Are you really saying that it wouldnt annoy you in the slightest if someone called your wife a fat cow? If you truly care deep down about that person, right deep down emotionally then it would even if you chose not to do anything about it. It's all relevent, you cant have one without the other and in a lot of cases people choose to act rather than stay seated for more reasons than I could even begin to list out here.
It's basic human instincts, even if your instincts are not the same. You are not all humans
