Your quote below shows that in-fact you actually said this -

Hence my response below, pointing out your use of "Crazy" and "Silly" and why I think that's bad for a conversation -

To finish your post -

..........and now you're attempting to belittle me by "talking down" to me as if I'm somehow unaware of the Ukraine situation. Presumably you've done this because I've pointed out the the way you treat others and all this does is show me that, yet again, your "discussion style" seems to be designed around throwing insults (not that you think they are of course) rather than wanting an actual discussion with someone, which means that any thoughts I may have had about attempting to have a discussion are, quite frankly, a waste of my time so why bother.

Just remember before you reply, all I did was point out was how your posting style comes across and why it harms discussion ;)
The quote below was directed at dunker so where was I belittering you?
Another escalation? Come on comrade.

You do know Russia invaded the Ukraine and are at war, no matter what bull crap the Russians spout about special operations.

The west have escalated nothing, they started nothing, they are providing Ukraine with the means of keeping child murdering rapists at bay.

Saw a post on the reddit live thread that pootin had treatment for "advanced cancer". The person shouldn't have posted that, as the source is Newsweek which is equivalent to the Daily Star or worse. (Should have waited for a better source)

Multiple Russian government planes with heavy escort into Sochi - guessing that is Putin on the way to the African Union talks.

Ah, that old game is it? Its obvious you're not reading what people actually post and are just making things up now as my post was very clear, it even had highlighted sections in your quotes for you to read and you just couldn't be bothered. So, seen as its worthless to continue this discussion with somone who doesn't bother to read things, I'll just stop trying to talk to you, it's just not worth my effort. Enjoy your day.

He heard of Russian servicemen so inexperienced that they "did not know how to shoot and couldn't tell one end of a mortar from another".

Unfortunately as time goes on they are dipping more and more into regular units and new draft soldiers will likely get more time/training before sent to Ukraine unless the tempo of pressure on Russian forces increases. Making it harder for Ukraine to replicate the results of the opening weeks of this war.

On the other hand cracks are opening within the Russian forces, although sadly not united against the war - some just want more competent commanders leading the war.

Eh???? Try clicking on my last quote that I posted, it's not hard, it will link you to the quote that was originally posted to the other poster and try re reading.

If you want to defend people who stick up for a regime that rapes and murderers civilians, uses mass deportation and want to take some moral high ground because I said silly...then I think that says a lot more about you than me, I guess you would also stick up for people who are pro nazi?

So I'll carry on telling the pro Putin mob they are all comrades and silly, become just like people who support Nazis shouldn't be able to voice thier positive opinions, neither should pro Putin people.

You’re still holding on to the myth of them not using regular units I see, the only untouched regular units are those that are in critical areas of Russia for defence, all available regular units that don’t leave them woefully vulnerable in other areas have been deployed

Still not understanding the original point I made I see.

You keep trying to say they haven’t deployed their best troops and equipment, and people keep pointing out they have deployed everything they can without leaving massive vulnerabilities elsewhere.

No I'm not - not sure why you and dowie are finding it hard to understand what I said as most other posts seem to understand it fine.

I don't understand either. What do you mean by regular units? How does this differ from the troops prepared for the invasion?

Woppy101 is referring to an older post of mine. I'm not sure why some think I said they haven't used regular units when for weeks before this kicked off I was posting about the various airborne and guard division forces being moved forward, etc.

What I did say was they fleshed out the [initial] invasion force significantly from essentially conscript, mercenary/militia, Chechens, etc. to minimise the amount they depleted from the regular forces, likewise with equipment having spent the last few years reactivating mothballed stock rather than dipping into their main reserves (though it has since come to light their reserves have been raided through corrupt money making in the side and to source parts to reactivate the even older stock). This is why stuff like BMPTs, T-72 models which only exist in their reserve stock, etc. are only appearing now and the stuff which appeared in the early days was around 60/40 split of old model T-80s and 72s vs regular active model T-80Us, T-72B3s, etc. and likewise with the aircraft, artillery and so on.

EDIT: It was also quite varied - from the north there was a significant amount of new draft soldiers who'd been sent to Belarus on "exercises", opposed against Kharkiv was elements of some of Russia's elite guards divisions and directly from the south was more experienced forces stationed out of Crimea. From the south east along with LNR/DPR forces a much more oddball mix initially.
