The moment of the most terrible arrival in Vinnytsia
Pretty depressing images, people out enjoying the day in the sun, no sound but you can tell when they hear the missile as they start to duck and panic, then the shadow of the cloud of smoke rising and the poor bloke chasing after his dog, it's literally terrorism at this point or at least how you imagine a terrorist attack should look

Russia moping again that Western supplied weapons is just prolonging the war...
I wonder how long the West supply will last though given news from Shell that rationing energy is very much a possibility in Europe and the knock on effect this will have on prices elsewhere, surely at some point the selfishness of people is going to start contradicting the selflessness needed to supply weapons to Ukraine

I cant see Putin ever ending this, even though he is getting nowhere he can never admit defeat.

The only way this can really end is if it's taken out of Putins control.

Maybe the management was hoping no one would ever call their bluff when they claimed it could shoot down NATO missiles.

After all, it's a reasonable assumption that Russia would never get into a position to be fighting NATO since that would be be short and one way or another, no one would be asking questions about AA weapon performance afterwards.

Who could have predicted that NATO would give heavy weapons to a third party to fight Russia with...

I would love for Almaz-Antey to show up to court and be like "In our defence, we submit a list of all the missiles and aircraft the Ukrainian Air Force have destroyed with their S-300 units over the last six months, thus proving they work excellently when operated with competence"

:D

That is just incorrect, they are no different to us, and they don’t like the cold at all either!
Due to Hollywood footage of Russia always being in snowy regions or simply in winter, a lot of people have a false idea of what the average Russian weather is like in the cities.

I had a Russian immigrant friend in College and he used to get annoyed at people being surprised he was cold when everyone else was, one day he got mad and yelled that "Moscow is closer to the equator than Glasgow is, it's not in the damn arctic" lol.

Much of Russia has a weird climate, at least for me it's weird - where in Winter it snows and sits at -20c and then in Summer it rockets up to 30c, all the snow melts and turns the place into a insect infested swamp.

Russia's forests and wilderness in Summer feel a lot like Florida's. It's the seasonal temperature variance that gets me, I wouldn't be able to deal with massive swings. Where I am now the difference between the coldest Winter days and hottest Summer days is around 15c but in Russia they see differences of 50c between seasons no problem

Given that Putin’s built himself up on a platform of never allowing the glorious Rodina to ever be humiliated again, and making Russia the great power that the Soviet Union was, then he can’t end this with anything less than what he can dress up as a win, because his end would probably shortly follow at the hands of the nationalist nut jobs he’s been enabling all these years if he ever had to admit to something like a defeat on the battlefield.

We in the west and with large parts of Europe are most affected by the Atlantic weather systems which moderate extremes of temperature. Moscow and parts east are in a large land mass leading to extremes as the air masses are affected by the land, cold in winter and hot in summer.

because of cold winters, domestic heating is much more powerful, so most homes in Russia would have 22-25C indoors temperature in winter

When you are used to shorts and tshirt at home throughout the year, of course UK homes will feel cold
