I didn't see what times people have been running on the hard tyres, but I suspect that'll be the decider for tomorrow's race. Who can make Pirellis greased up plastic tyres grip.
 
Lol not even a high pressure situation and Ferrari have made a massive gaff. I'll be surprised if Sainz and Leclerc aren't looking to jump ship once the driver market opens up again at the top teams.

It was pretty clear listening to Hamilton and Russell yesterday that they know their car still isn't fast despite the much vaunted "upgrade" that was talked about on Friday

He's so much faster than everyone else, he probably can. Sainz and Checo likely need a perfectly clean race to stop him, and we know with Ferrari's strategy that isn't going to happen for Sainz. Also there's likely to be a SC around here (Latifi or Mick), and probably a pile up at the start given the redevelopment of that part of the track.

I was watching and playing F1 Manager 2022 at the same time. It's fine... needs a good round of patches.

In all seriousness, nah I think he'll stay on - wouldn't be surprised if they just give up on 2022 though.
I think they would be far more likely to opt for their Formula E World Champ Vandoorne or Di Vries than a bang average Ricciardo.
 
question is though, was the quali performance of merc mostly down to tyre warm up issuees, or fundemental pace issues in the car? so could we see them have good tyre life tomorrow and hold on to a couple of podium spots... or at least close to them. reliablilty and consistency is still looknig quite good for them. Assuming max does not come and lap tham all that is :P
quali was not that exciting, to predictable but I think the race should be interistering.
