I see the news on mainstream UK channels has almost given up reporting on the Ukraine now and was wondering if it would be a lot easier to stop the willy waving from all the dealers are stealers and agree to not put missiles in Ukraine and not allow them to join NATO and let those in Europe that are suffering and with temps expected to drop in the winter, leading to the poor and elderly dying due to not being able to pay for heating and food and break and a normal way of life.

In other words: I'm sure many do not give a **** how a shoulder launched missile can knock out a T75 and would rather their day to day living was how it was before this BS kicked off.
Ok Putin or is it amnesia....dum dum dum
Do you have anything to post that's actually factually correct with regards to Ukraine and not russian BS propaganda?

Sounds like Ukraine really has the momentum now. Great experience for them too. They can only get stronger and stronger from here with equipment, training and battlefield experience.

Ukrainian tractor army will be busy picking up all that gear left behind.

Who needs western arms when Russia has left so much behind. What Ukraine needs soon is a NATO type system where everything uses the same ammo etc, logistics must be a huge headache.

It's amazing that Ukraine has picked up the ability to do proper combined arms operations in such a short period and yet Russia is still fighting like its WW2. I really don't understand what they're doing with their armour. Endless videos of single tanks pottering around in the open getting turned into firecrackers by ATGMs.

Reminds of the soldier earlier in the conflict saying "we're lucky they're so ******* stupid".

The Russians haven't exactly been impressive when they have chosen the battlefield and the time and date to fight. Seem to be even worse when they don't have the initiative.

now Moscow politicians are calling for Putin to go, adding their support to the St Petersburg politicians.

As several Russians living abroad had said, the way to get rid of Putin is to defeat Russia on the battlefield and it is coming true - the more territory they are losing in Ukraine, the louder the voices calling for Putin to resign/be killed get.

There were some ultra nationalists today claiming that Putin must secretly be a Jew in cahoots with Zelensky and that's the reason why Russia is losing.

Some of it is Soviet era doctrine recon by combat - with mixed results - it doesn't work so well when the response is a small team pushing forward using handheld anti-tank or limited artillery rather than showing their overall positions. Especially in the era of drones.

In some cases though Ukraine is showing the "bait" so to speak getting attacked and not the response - I know in one case in Kherson region they had one killed, one injured and a column of armour forced to retreat several miles with at least 2 armoured vehicle losses (unspecified what) by the responding artillery after disabling one T-80 and destroying several BMPs.

I don't think I'd want to use much of the Russian kit. I think they'll end up with that sort of standardisation you mention almost by default. Can also imagine much closer integration with what NATO are using so 5.56mm ammo, same size artillery ammo, etc.

I saw that earlier, there was one dude actually talking sense.

The soldier guy was like "we didn't need Izyum or Kupiansk anyway as they're not Moscow".

The military guy said those are of vital importance as they are used to supply all of the troops in the area.

Didn't seem to go down well.

For context; the person you're referring to as the "soldier guy" is one of Kadyrov's guys in command of a Chechen formation, the one you've referred to as the "military guy" is a former Russian army Colonel who now works as a journalist/military commentator.
