It's almost like they were given an acting brief to roleplay re-writing current affairs and say that Russia was winning with a straight face.
Wonder how much Russia is paying these guys?

Yep. Armenia is a member of CSTO ( basically Russian NATO) so Russia are supposed to help defend members. If they don't or aren't able to then it's about to become worthless
Could this be the proxy excuse Putin might be looking for to call a general mobilization though? Under the guise of "helping defend the Armenians" ?

And what does that even mean? It is just words. His people are done. His army is exhausted. His equipment is depleted.
Well it's apparently occurring outside of the disputed territory so that is an escalation. How significant it is between two nations that have never liked one another? I don't know.
With Russia looking weak I’m not surprised other countries are taking advantage of the situation. Just need Georgia to start pushing back and a few other countries and Russia won’t be able to cope. (Not that they are coping with Ukraine)
I actually think that they WANT to enable themselves to fully mobilize, and that's what a lot of the sabre rattling has been about.
Indeed that's what I was wondering a few posts ago. It could provide a convenient excuse to call for general mobilization.. Whether that would be remotely any more successful than what we've seen so far in Ukraine is unlikely... But at this point who knows what Putin will do?
