This thread really explains a lot of why Putin is only doing a soft mobilisation and why the propaganda channels give mixed messages

Seems these people don't understand, when you have to put 1 of 25 on your tweet you're on the wrong platform. Twitter isn't for 25 chapter stories.
It's almost as bad as people upload text as images.
Only it is really really easy to confirm that Putin was the one who scuppered the deal, made by a subordinate of his, not Boris, without having to rely on Western media for that information.
EDIT: Then we have all the times Russia stood up in the UN, etc. telling blatant lies making it impossible to trust them in a deal, regardless of any ill intentions by the West - another thing you can verify free of any potential bias or distortion from Western media.
Why is it this meme seems so apt...
That is true but some of these people principally exist on Twitter and it may not be worth it for them to start a personal blog page or similar for the occasional airing of longer views.

and the reality is that none of her tweets age very well. and if she was as open and journalistic, as is claimed above; why has she blocked everybody apart from confirmed tankies, vatniks, and Kremlin-approved trolls?
if you listen, or take notice of what she says about anything outside of astrology you are being wilfully naive about Russia, Putin, his cabal, and their imperialist intentions.

Also now that I think about it all the complaints about western assistance may not entirely be due to Russian supremacist nonsense, they may genuinely believe that since commanders have been offering such 'success' that the only reason that in reality they've begun losing ground must be due to the NATO-boogeymans.

One of the reason the likes of China probably wouldn't be as impressive in a war as the on paper numbers - like with Russia a lot of decisions run all the way up and down the chain of command with autonomous decision making at unit level discouraged, government/military leaders detached from the reality of what the lower level commanders are seeing, etc. and likewise the top level government often detached from the military leadership's reality, etc. etc.
The paranoia and desire to retain a tight grip on power at the top generally undoes the military effectiveness of regimes like this when fighting a peer foe fortunately (and if they attempted a more Western like command structure they'd quickly get replaced).

saying that; have you ever been to Russia as a resident, a long-term employee (not part of the 'Moscow set'), live in Russia now, have relatives who are permanent residents outside of Moscow?

and you absolutely on the button in that it is THE most inflexible method of operating ever devised. and strangely enough, it is THE Soviet/Russian tactic of the ages. and is easily broken.
NATO-aligned nations have a much more junior NCO-focused style

Strelkov (because he doesn't like the name 'Girkin' because of its western implications
) is definitely a good account to follow. purely because he is one of the few pro-Russians who aren't afraid to criticise Putin & his cabal. i think Kadyrov *may* soon join that small, but exclusive club soon as well. Strelkov tries his hardest to be positive, but because he has a military background he understands exactly why Putin micromanaging the whole illegal invasion is folly

It's a mystery why Ukraine didn't choose to get crippled by western and Russian sanctions by reactivating abandoned and disabled Soviet weapons from the position of being unable to maintain or replace them.

I can't tie it up 100% but looks like Putin was flying Sochi to Moscow when this event supposedly happened - looks like he is currently flying out of Moscow again (assumedly to Uzbekistan).
(Possible the timeline was fudged for security reasons and he was ahead of his supposed movements, etc. though).
