Oh yeh of course, I absolutely believe those numbers from their riggedferendums.

It's all just so pathetically predictable. It's like a toddler claiming they did nothing wrong while they hand is still actively IN the cookie jar.

Is it 20 mins warning we get if he goes nuts and sends his nuclear missiles at us? Are you better off sitting outside and just frazzling rather than sat in your house near windows.

It's a bonkers move if so. Their issue in Ukraine is less manpower and more logistics, throwing a shed load of untrained conscripts into the mix isn't likely to help and may make things worse.

The effect on the general population will be interesting. It's potentially an end to Putin's grip on power. How many are willing to die for a war with no real aim?

Sounds like Putin is attempting to change the Russian opinion by making everyone in the country affected by deaths caused by Ukraine, that then drives support as he carries on warmongering.

Or maybe Putin is finally discovering that not all his advisors and generals are willing to blindly follow his demands and he's now attempting to walk the tight rope between "getting what he wants" and "getting thrown out of a window"

I know if I was him I would be getting increasingly worried about being defenestrated by my senior staff.

Fact is until they announce whatever it is they are going to announce, everything is just a guess and as such entirely pointless to speculate.

More like 4 minutes for us here in the UK.

You're far better off running towards a major industrial / population center and being vaporized in the initial blast, than left to slowly melt from the inside due to radiation poisoning :D

I think he's killed off those that are easily removed, killed off the generals by sending them to the front to be shot and those that remain are that hardened that don't want to go and are part of the main army.

Whilst that may be true, it could well turn into one of those "better the devil you know" situations where he has now gotten rid of most of the senior staff / generals he "knew" he could trust due to them holding that position and supporting him for 10+ years.

He's now had to trade them out for a bunch of sycophants who have probably been blowing smoke up his butt since the start, but have no real track record of "unyielding support" for him.
