Yes exactly! This is I guess the point I have been trying to make. The UK Govt (and seemingly a lot of the UK population) seem to think we're being "those plucky brits" again, standing resolute and proud.
The reality is the vast majority of the resources and equipment that is needed for this conflict and even the intelligence being provided is coming from the US.
Brit's really need to take off those Rose-Tinted Union-Jack glasses and realize that while we are undoubtedly helping support them and provide training to their troops, We are not the ones turning the tide of this invasion, not even close.
Had the situation played out differently and the US decided it was "not their job to police the world", No amount of support, training or "commitment" from the UK would have made the slightest bit of difference.
