Question - do we have a reliable source that Russia even has serviceable nukes?

Until I see that I suspect it'll be right there alongside their space program and the almighty Moskovich, which was meant to be the pinnacle of their navy yet couldn't even defend itself from a relatively small attack due to the spectacularly poor state of disrepair it was in.

If their nuclear program is up to the task of actually threatening the west I'll eat my hat.
I think it would be naive to think that Russia would not keep a serviceable stock of nuclear weapons. If the general state of equipment follows suit of what we have seen so far. There is a Strong possibility the number reliably functioning and viable is nowhere near their stated amount. However, it dosnt take many to turn the world into a nasty place for human life.

God it would be so funny if they launched one only to see it fall out of the sky, then their faces when they see one coming towards them that actually works.

Our Queen elizabeth aircraft carrier isn't proving a demonstration of power (may the increased defence budget will help)

With the limited range of the usa supplied tactical missiles - Putin's non-existant palace seems out of range.

One thing we do know is.. We have trident nuclear subs and the USA have theirs. Other EU countries have nukes too.
So if putin goes nuclear we all might die, but it means all Russians will be certainly dead.

But would Putin die as he has a nuclear bunker to hide in

Is that 2.3bn on the taxpayers credit card?
I heard that all the humanitarian aid has come from our existing international development budget so yes obviously it's coming from the taxpayer (where else do governments get spending money from?) but in some ways also coming from the third world.

Not sure about whether the military aid budget has a separate line item or is coming from existing MoD allocation.

Yeah I'm not against it, let's be honest it's not much compared to our overall debt.

Just annoyed why other countries are spending so little?

Where else do you think it comes from? Lol
We're not necessarily buying things to give to them though. We're giving them stuff we have in most cases and if it's stuff we don't then replace, it hasn't really cost anything.

A lot if the stuff a lot of countries have donated are things that they'd already taken out of service previously but still had.

There's tons of stuff like that sitting around in storage in Western countries that Ukraine could use.
