So people of mobilization age are not attempting to leave by a multitude of different methods (land, sea and air) and it's all just propaganda?
So the Finnish government is making it up too?

I'd imagine people have been leaving long before the mobilisation and there's probably always been a queue at the border

They have but it's increased exponentiality since then. Have you even bothered to look at the flights coming out of Russia? That's public information.

Are you actually trying to claim a large amount of people aren't all of a sudden leaving Russia due to mobilisation?
Preferably KIA, pilots aren't easy to come by in times of war so a prisoner exchange would see them back in the air.

Anyway, me being an open minded chappie, I thought I would see what he had to say, and forgive me for doing a Cathy Newman here, but to me it sounds like he's saying we should just let Putin get on with taking over Ukraine?
Unless somebody has a different take on it? The YouTube comments seem to think he's the second coming of Christ and has all the answers.

Typical JP - clever arguments where he uses being, unfortunately, absolutely right about one thing (often truths people don't want to confront) to persuade people he is absolutely right about another where he is dead wrong. Sadly some fall for it.

I’ve listened to some of what he’s has to say on Russia/Ukraine and it’s fairly incoherent compared to what he has to say on other issues.

From that video I'm not getting that he's saying that at all. what I got from that was he was just sharing his observations on the current situation from a rather cold logical point of view. Also commenting on how Putin is using food and energy as a weapon and its effect on the west/rest of the world.
A point that I do agree with is his belief that there is no "good" outcome from this conflict, we are already past the pint of any "Good" outcome. This conflict is far from reaching its bloodiest point.
I think this is going to get a lot more painful for Ukraine before it gets better, if they can hold on in the long term that is. Sadly Ukraine have no other choice than to weather the storm, as failure results in no more Ukraine, they are literally fighting for their own existence.
I've talked about this conflict at great lengths with friends and colleagues, behind the chat and banter there is a genuine concern that we are teetering on the precipice of the next great war. It might go against the current popular narrative, but as much as we like to joke about how poorly his forces are doing in Ukraine, Russia is not to be underestimated.
I genuinely believe the coming couple of decades will be violent, hopefully not so much on home soil but there are hot spots boiling up throughout the world, all it takes is one miscalculation for things to hit the fan and I do believe it will spread like wildfire if that was to happen. I hope I'm proven wrong but the potential is there and rising.

Yes, one only has to look at 1914 for that.
Something I don't think people broadly appreciate yet - and why we can't just take a step back over Ukraine as doing so just increases significantly the chance we will be impacted at home over the coming years.
i would argue the foundation of ww1 was set in 1850 and the scramble for Africa.
