But Russia claim that NATO must roll back and Ukraine must never join, so I doubt Putin would accept this (although all these objections are a sham anyway and he would have done it regardless).

Look on the bright side, if there is a relatively modest tactical nuclear weapons exchange between Russia and NATO (under 15 megatonnes TNT equivalent) then several million tonnes of particulates will be released into the stratosphere. It is estimated by climatologists that this would decrease the global average temperature by about 1 degree centigrade, which would undo a century of global warming! ;)

He sure is crazed, but maybe you'd love to live there given your sarcasm. Putin will force his values down your throat and I'm sure there are many you wouldn't agree with.

I think we all did, plenty of professional military commentators also thought they'd be overwhelmed.

Now I want to see Ukraine take back every inch of territory including Crimea and inflict maximum pain on Russia in the process. Putin needs to be stopped here or he will keep pushing for more and more territory. You don't back down to bullies or they just keep coming back.
 
I believe there will a stalemate in the Ukrainian front, now its time to roll on the Aegean Archipelago front. By christmas there will be a second front in Europe, i hope i prove wrong but its coming ...

And good from me, most of these will not reach the southern hemisphere, so you guys go ahead and fix global warming for us yeah, we're greatfull

A man who has invaded his sovereign neighbour, murdered civilians, and orchestrated illegal 'referendums' at gunpoint to steal 15% of his neighbour's land, is in no position to criticise anyone else's morals.

Yes, Putin is a monster. Not because of what he's said, but because of what he's done.

Good to see Ukraine accelerating her NATO membership application.

I agree to some of his concerns, I'm all for personal liberty, call yourself a teacup but it shouldn't be become normalised and taught to young minds
