Other than confirming that the board pulled the fight before the news became public, pretty much everything else Hearn says in that interview was spin. It's no surprise that the one interview he gives is with his mate, who has built a business off the back of being given preferential access by the likes of Hearn.

At no point was the question asked as to why he spent two weeks trying to put on a fight after one of the fighters tested positive for a banned substance and he even tried to take credit for calling the fight off! He probably wishes he'd watched Kalle's interview on Thursday, confirming that they seriously considered using another commission, before he tried to claim it was never considered.

His fight against Shannon Briggs was a banger, has maybe my favourite Lewis moment of all time in there.

The Bruno fight was charged and worth a watch as well.

The thing with Lewis was you either got solid performances over 12 rounds where he just fought to a level and out boxed everyone, or he went in meaning business and smoked people (Ruddock, Grant, Golota). Very deserving of being considered the best of that era and one of the GOATs.

It's a shame Bowe ducked him at the time, that could have been a ridiculous fight.

Vitali had unfortunate timing, a few years earlier and he might have been mixing it with better quality opposition that could have boosted his standing. He was probably the best of his period, but it's one that I think a lot of people would consider a weak era in heavyweight boxing, especially following on from what we were gifted in the 90s.

Watched the Briggs fight. Brigss did surprisingly well at the start. I haven't seen much of young Briggs. All I know him for is his 'lets go champ' chant in recent years... he took a fair beating from Lewis!

Will watch Bruno next!

Fury wins that fight with both hands tied behind his back. Move, move, move and Chisora gasses and falls over chasing his shadow within 3 rounds.

Given how easily he beat him previously, this is a big dent in his legacy imo.

Oh ffs, just when you think boxing can’t get any worse.

This has been an atrocious year for the sport. No one in the fury family is the full ticket

So this is basically just Fury giving his mate a pay day for his retirement. I'd like to say people will finally be peed off enough after all the rubbish to see through this nonsense, but you just know it's still going to get lapped up by loads of people.

Chisora can be pretty funny at times, but looking at his record how on earth has he ever got anywhere near being in a title fight. He seems to have failed upwards

How long before we see the usual 'Potentially the most dangerous fight of his career' spin from places.

But it's not going to be big payday boxing fans won't be paying for crap fight like this.

I don't mind paying for PPVs that I deem to be worth the money. It's when a joke fight ends up as a PPV that I tend to get my sailing boat out and head for the high seas.
