Virgin Media Discussion Thread

One of us is familiar with how VM’s CMS and back end provisioning system works, and one of us isn’t. I have explained that without the order being completed down and the correct service code being active what you suggest won’t work, if you don’t understand that, then that’s fine with me, but you’re still wrong

Nope. :)

Then please explain why everything I know is wrong? I’m willing to forget the years of working in ICOMS and Cablemaster, or travelling round the country working on regional migrations and UAT or process development for the company in question on the basis that clearly you know better? But please, try and make it better than ‘I did it and it worked’ as we’ve already covered the criteria for that not being valid here.

New speed gets upgraded to, VM say "blah blah, might take 30 days", hard reset of router = new speeds applied.

Ah, so they are sending it to hub 4 owners then? Ya noob ;)

They are now yeah, when the link first became available they were being incredibly selective. The link was available quite a bit before it was posted in this thread, I'd actually posted it 10 days before @Gee but then deleted it as the vast majority were getting knocked back.

Edit: removed as it likely won't work.

As usual with Virgin, it seems to be pot luck with who looks at the request.

Received the Hub5 last week to replace the Hub3. Ping is a little better at a guess due to the use of DOCSIS3.1 for upload now and the wireless is decent being Wifi6 (hopefully next one is 6E).

As I'd only had the Hub3 a short time I still had the Hub2ac in the loft as a backup as they never asked for it back, so taken a couple of photos to compare for those interested. I've since sent back the Hub2ac in the same return box as the Hub3 :p

Moved into my first house in July and still without internet. Virgin have given me an install date of 22nd October so its all I can go off at the minute.

According to a guy who came out and dug up part of the pavement outside my house a while back there was some serious fck up when the last person got it installed on my road. I believe they have had to apply for way leave to dig up more of the road to hopefully try rectify the issue.

I can only pray the 22nd actually happens as trying to WFH whilst tethering is near impossible!
