Just them hedging their bets imo, I've had many increases over the years and most have been near instant. Can try a hard reset of the hub, means you have to set it up again though.
That’s not going to help. If they’ve stated specifically 30 days, that’s likely when the order is future billed to, until it completes you can turn your hub off and on as much as you like, but it won’t do you any good.

Can the hub5 put in modem mode?
Is there an advantage in modem modes of hub 3 vs hub 5?
I received mine on Friday and I use it in modem mode.

I’ve upgraded from the hub3 and so far noticed that my high ping spikes on think broadband monitor have been marginally reduced and the average Ping time looks the same but the minimums are more inconsistent.

The Hub5 doesn’t support telephony yet which I suspect is why some people that require their phone to be connected to it are being refused a hub5

Just noticed my 1 Gig package (M500 with Volt upgrade to 1 Gig) has gone up to nearly £73 per month, did the old phone up to cancel routine as I’m out of contract, and now back to £52 per month which was the previous price including phone landline (which I never use) fixed for 18 months.

May have got more if I’d just continued along the cancel route but was happy to save £21 per month for a service which over the last 2 years it has to be said, has been faultless.

Once you are upgraded it does. Done it many times after advice from support.

Forgive me, unless the fundamental principal of how ICOMS works has changed drastically, then what I said is correct.

They told the op 30 days because that’s likely a future billed order, I don’t understand why it would be as a digital only change of service could be completed down straight away and once the order has been completed, a hub reset would pull the correct config, but without the new service code showing as active on the account, what you suggest is pointless.

I done a ping request to my Asus router which comes in at <1ms but a ping request to the Hub 5 comes in at 3ms. I should have checked my hub 3 before disconnecting.

I'll pop this here (Hub3) and book mark thanks.

Sanity check from the router:

--- 80.249.99.666 ping statistics ---
118 packets transmitted, 118 packets received, 0% packet loss
round-trip min/avg/max = 14.402/16.216/25.062 ms

I'm getting a spike every 10 seconds around 25ms very odd.

My Hub 5 in modem mode also 3ms to ping 192.168.100.1 through a USG3P which is <1ms.
I plugged in the Hub3 to check (obviously without internet) and its bouncing around 2 to 3 ms where the hub 5 is 3 to 4ms. Not much in it, but annoyingly in the wrong direction.

Check the pings after the Hub and see if there's any latency actually being added, the Hub itself responding a bit slower doesn't mean much.

Stable for most of morning, put WoT on, as soon as battle starts, disconnect from internet but still connected via 5G. Hub 5 on 5G via PCE AC68. Switch to 2.4GHz then I can get back online with 5G?

I have no idea what you are arguing about.

My partner has an o2 pay monthly mobile contact is it worth linking it for volt or is there a downside that I’m missing?

Do you have TV package aswell? im playing hard ball using your quote at the mo on there Whatsapp chat offering me £63 with what you got and Mixit TV basic haha.

They want £69 a month without volt for 1gb jokers.

Im not budging above £52 :D They even said at start of the message we know times are hard at the moment but we can offer this...

I refuse to pay that at the moment 1GB or not. It will come down eventually, hopefully.

They wont budge from £57 + £6 for sim for Volt 500mb -1gb and Mixit TV basic- talk weekend so £63 total a month.

Ive been on 200mb- mixit tv- talk weekend for £45 a month raising to £68 a month hence trying to change.

See my earlier post the other week for a comparison deal, this was from their outbound retentions team..

So VM retentions just called me back this morning, initially offered me the same Ultimate Volt bundle for £55pm, after the original guy when I rang to cancel offered it at £70pm. Then after a quick "nah I'm ok" offered an additional £7 manager discount, so got it for £48pm. :D

The only caveat to why it was so cheap is because I'm an O2 customer, apparently that equates to around a £25pm discount she said on her system. The O2 SIM I got late last year purely to get the free Gig1 upgrade lol - just £8pm with 30Gb data I chucked in my iPad.

So effectively paying £54pm now for the Ultimate Volt bundle with O2 SIM, I'm happy and call that a win :D

(meanwhile my brother in law shudders as he just renewed with VM a month ago and took the first offer of £99pm, told him to play the game but he couldn't be bothered lol)
