A lot of people stopped voting completely.

A lot of people a) live in constituencies that are nailed on one way or the other, or b) have fallen for the mantra that "they're all as bad as each other".

Either way, disenfranchisement is worse for poorer demographics and has been actively encouraged by the Tories as they know it favours them.

EDIT : Just to clarify, because I wasnt sure if you were saying it in your post, I didnt vote Tory at the last GE

Well that's good, but plenty of people who perpetuate this "they're all as bad as each other" and not about being "best for the country" thing still do.

Why the hell are they doing that? Surely if you think that you vote for change each time in the hope that something else comes along that's better.

I’ll need to do some reading and see what created the environment for PR from FPTP (if such a thing has happened anywhere!). I do think voting reform is one of the few things that could assist in stopping politics from being such nonsense and prevent the self serving and corruption (to a degree).

Does anyone know of any countries that have changed from FPTP to PR and why?

Truss has a very odd way of walking, I think it every time I see her walking, she bounces. Bounces along like her shoes are on springs

I put it down to anal beads. She needs them to release massive ammounts of endorphins so it makes her oblivious to the train wreck that she has caused going off all around her.

Well i thought Sunak was the right person for the job, i certainly would not want Boris back in any form

the Tories are not ready for an "ethnic" to lead them. It's against the basic ideology. They can have the ethnics in positions that alow for them to be thrown under a bus, but never in a position to be throwing others under a bus.

If this is really a thing now, and an actual belief, why the hell are people (like you) still voting ****ing Tory?

You're really all that brainwashed into thinking Labour, "the left", "the woke", "the anti-growth coalition (lol)" are so bad that you'd rather support a party that is evidentially ****ing everyone over, every ****ing day.

It's Stockholm syndrome. Wake the **** up.
Its bizarre isnt it.

Clear daily evidence the Tories are anally penetrating us in new and wonderful ways, yet its always " but but labour".

Labour have not been in power for over a decade, people should not be so stuck in their party/side they cannot vote for change when the current situation is clearly destabilizing the country.

Yet while they sit here and complain about the current issues they continue to vote for the people that continue to cause said issues.

Why would a right wing voter vote for a left wing party?

Let’s not forget that Blair was Tory-lite to get in and Corbyn (supported by Starmer) was a left wing extremist and utterly rejected by the voters.

This isn’t a socialist country.

Trying to make out political choices are as binary as PS5 being better than Xbox is such a pathetic simplification.
