Best thing he can do is simply get the platform sorted.
It's fairly obvious the stink around it from a lot of salty people and some genuine criticism (if the ad system is broken, that's inexcusable, so is getting content moderation correct) mean there is no reasonable expectation that it isn't going to have some short term pain at the very least, he needs to start delivering on the promises, show people how it's meant to work, and then go back after advertisers, and stop it becoming a long term pain.
Ultimately if people are literally peeing their pants at Trump being on the platform when he isn't even tweeting, then the business model needs to change, no one has to like Trump, but you have to allow both sides of any argument to civilly discuss things, if people want to tweet CT's (even Musk), then great, let them be shot down by the town square, I hugely enjoy seeing anyone getting called out and it's great watching them squirm, that is the best way of teaching people to be civil.
I don't know if it's possible to allow all political views to co-exist on the platform, does anyone know why Twitter was losing hundreds of $M's prior to musk taking over?
