Who is behind all these large companies suddenly deciding Twitter isn't towing the line? It's so strange. Twitter allows free speech and suddenly every corporation is against it, is the West actually better than China or are we just more subtle?
Lol

Daddy elon nows tells you anyone who leaves twitter is against free speech and you parrot it within 30 minutes.

Never change roar.

It does make me feel stupid as every time I hope for better from roar, but get let down, every time.

I'm sure Elon will tweet who you need to start blaming soon roar.

Meanwhile the rest if the world can understand the bleedingly obvious reason advertisers are leaving.

We've said from the minute Elon took over what would happen.

Users blame activists, users stick their fingers in their ears as they won't want to hear negative news against Elon, and yet, the world keep spinning and reality keeps moving ahead. Elon is the single biggest reason why advertisers will be leaving twitter.

Rather than admit Elon is at fault, we have roar desperately trying to find a way to cope with what's happening and blame a secret hidden person/company/group.

I still have hope to see better from roar. One day reality may slap him right in the face and he'll see Elon for what he is and what he's done to Twitter, and finally then, he will say, Elon isn't all that.

Is this actually true?

It is absolutely true. I had to delete the tweet, but I'm still stuck with the suspension.

Was it a tweet in reply to/directed at Musk or just a tweet on your own timeline simply referring to Musk?

If the former then that's been a risk on twitter for a while now, randomly replying to someone with insults etc.. can lead to a suspension. If the latter though then that is odd and you could have perhaps submitted an appeal.

What's this, he's having a public tantrum at specific companies for not giving him money now?

Pandering to the right wing by accusing Apple of not being patriotic.

Because paying Elon Musk to do whatever the hell he feels like is patriotic :p
Maybe Elon can tweet the Donald to see if he can speak with Tim Apple to get it sorted and all patched up

Musk and Twitter...

At least those are the people that have apparently utterly broken the advertisers interfaces to place/control adverts, and got rid of every point of contact those advertisers had within Twitter for sorting out minor things such as million dollar advertising spends...

Also advertisers aren't stupid, these days they can see what happens when a social media platform gets rid of it's moderating staff and basically declares a free for all, they've got memories that go back long enough they remember how much bad press they got (ironically enouogh, often from the Right wing press) when their adverts were appearing alongside dodgy content on other platforms and they don't want to spend the money on damage control that could/would cost them to deal with it happening on a platform where the owner seems to be making up the rules as he goes and is aiming to unban pretty much everyone who was ever banned before.

Or to put it another way, Advertisers learn from past experience, they employ people to try and avoid them running into those problems again, and when a company they're spending a relatively small amount of their money on starts to be unable to give assurances they don't feel the need to take that risk, especially when that company no longer has anyone answering the phone when people with multi million dollar contracts is trying to get a problem sorted that is stopping them being able to spend that money even if they want to.
Maybe if Musk hadn't utterly gutted the advertising sales department at Twitter (I guess advertising sales people don't write good code, just bring in money), so when the advertisers have a question or a problem they had had someone they could contact they'd maybe be a little more forgiving or optimistic that Twitter wasn't going to let things get utterly out of control.

A company that relies on selling adverts to make money, getting rid of all of the people that book your sales or deal with problems with the booking of sales should not be surprised that the advertisers then stop giving them money.

Angry leftist gets banned from Twitter after breaking rules that were in place prior to Elon Musk owning Twitter

It is interesting how on one hand there was all the fear-mongering about Twitter being turned into some alt-right paradise as per Gab/Parlor but now you can see complaints seemingly related to existing standards being enforced... There also seems to be a bit of fuss about some Antifa accounts getting nuked recently.

Capitalism.

It's so strange.

Not in the slightest.

Twitter allows free speech

Well... not really, as I have just demonstrated. :p

and suddenly every corporation is against it, is the West actually better than China or are we just more subtle?

The corporations are not against free speech, they're just deeply concerned about being associated with the wrong kind of free speech.
