Did not want to bother with Ricky at RE, some people don't speak so highly of them, also and as he has never done a Ferrari DCT I don't fancy been the guinea pig with such expensive car.
Rang around a few dealers today, one came back with £6900, much better.
Another dealer came back to me as they do a lot of work on Challenge cars and know the parts are the same, as such they can get just the replacement seals which cost around £20 instead of having to buy a new rear casing which is £3300 plus VAT. As such their estimated repair bill is circa £4000, much better, they have knocked £30 per hour of the labour rate to help out, so they shall be collecting the car in a couple of weeks once their covered transporter is free. Cracking service so far, whilst it is in I've requested they change the half shaft differential output seals as drivers had a minor weep and the car will be getting all fresh fluids whilst in their care. No idea when it will be ready, as they are doing me a favour I've informed them there is no rush on getting car back.
Kind of glad I have been driving the car through colder months, otherwise this could have happened during Summer and ruined road trips I have planned.
