##Atomic Heart thread##

Not sure about that gameplay.. boss fight was a bit too long and a bit dull. I like the art direction and the sound of the plot but it looks to be style over substance. We shall see when it's released.

The game will be in gamepass so if anyone does not want to give them any extra money, you can play it there.

I haven't seen any statement of the developers if they are for or against mass murder in neighboring country though. Annoying.

Why should make a statement?

Agreed. Easy for us to say over in the UK that some Russians should come out and openly condemn the war. But for those people themselves, it paints a huge target on their back, we've already seen what the Russian state is handing out as punishment to those that oppose the war. Why should the devs put themselves and their families at risk just to potentially please a few people in the west? Better to avoid making a statement there and just make as good a game as possible!
I'm definitely looking forward to checking this out. Hopefully my GPU will be able to cope!

Plenty of russians have spoken out. And these guys claim they are based in Cyprus, so it should be even easier.
Great and there is still an inherent risk. They don't need to say anything. It isn't their job to. They may well have moved where they based, what about family, extended family and such.

Honeslty keeping quite and just doing your thing at moment is the safest thing to be doing. If you personally still have an issue just don't buy the game.

They got asked by a reporter on twitter and blocked them because responding to that can be dangerous. It's that simple. It is the reason hundreds of Russians have been arrested for saying no to the war and even then been conscripted to fight in said war.

Edit: what I do have bigger issuebwith is the way heads of departments have apparently treated devs there and they have had issues within the studio itself. That is probably a bigger issue all in.

Do you think you are explaining something I don't know here?
Because I do. And I still find it annoying, not knowing if they support mass murder in Ukraine or not.

Well that's a you problem. Just go somewhere else then and forget about the game.

I know russians I work with and they still don't want to talk about it. These are people I've known two decades and live here etc but doesn't mean they want to engage in something like that for discussion.

You could apply that same argument to any game studio (or any other company for that matter). Just because they are Russian doesn't automatically mean they support it, in the same way as not being Russian doesn't prevent a Western company from supporting it. Best to avoid buying anything from anyone if you're that worried about it.

Yes it does.. It Russian until that changes they get ZERO money from me. Taking it a step forward it should be banned from sale.

Do you guys check with every developer then? I still play games that are made here in England or America for example. We and US have committed war crimes & invaded country's under false pretext in the past we don't have a good track record, end of the day they are games devs.

Mental.

So all those people who are Russian should perish then as they can't afford to eat etc in your world... Charming.

Do you not think the money you give gets tax by the regime to pay for more bombs and bullets....

Screw them simple its as that in my charming world.

They are based in Cyprus so why would they pay for taxes in Russia.

Also to note

"Artem Galeev, Robert Bagratuni, Evgenia Sedova, and Oleg Gorodishenin have built an incredible team of 130 creatives from 10 countries including Poland, Ukraine, Austria, Georgia, Israel, Armenia, UAE, Serbia, and Cyprus."

So what about all those developers then including those from Ukraine?
